I once had an atheist friend who turned to astrology and superstition after she gave up religion and belief in God, because she "needed SOMETHING to believe in."

So, atheists, do you believe in horoscopes, fortune telling, oujia boards, divination, etc?

I have a cousin who is a lesbian and claims to be a Christian and I have heard her talk about going to heaven. Do you think this will really happen? If so, who can show me where in the Bible God says that being a homosexual is ok? Isn't romantic love/relationships/marriage meant to be between a man and a woman?

When asked why one believes in God, "faith" is often given as the response.

Is faith evidence supporting your belief?

Or is this given in lieu of evidence?

If we organize him the way we want then where are we headed?
"Let him who is without Sin cast the first stone" This statement techinically knocks everyone out. So why not Love and serve with Humility? How can we be true and loving in our heart? What can be done? What are your opinions?
Thanks in advance for your answers!

For example:
You could tell people that if they have doubts, it means God is real since he predicted you would have doubts and the prediction is coming true.

You could say that if anyone tries to get you to deny your faith, then God is real because the bible says Satan will cause people to do this. Since they do, God exists.

It's all complete BS but some people are not smart enough to see through this.

It seems to me we "identify" or relate to someone who has similar experiences according to our perception. How can we use identifying as a way to grow? Must there be complete objectivity and an understanding that not all experiences and circumstances are the same? What do you think?

I've discovered a terrible character trait in myself! If I don't want to do something, no matter how much I know I need to do it, I just don't do it. I can't make myself do it, no matter how hard I try! I've tried talking to myself, coming up with reasons to motivate myself, forcing myself, etc. And in the end, if I don't want to, I just don't.

What's wrong with me?
How can I fix this?
