I've discovered a terrible character trait in myself! If I don't want to do something, no matter how much I know I need to do it, I just don't do it. I can't make myself do it, no matter how hard I try! I've tried talking to myself, coming up with reasons to motivate myself, forcing myself, etc. And in the end, if I don't want to, I just don't.

What's wrong with me?
How can I fix this?

one small step at a time-nothing is wrong with you-as for motivation cant think of any on something you dont want to do-as for me when it comes to things that are necessary but distasteful to me i just take them slowly one step at a time-i find that once i start the chore seems to get done before i know it-it does make me feel better when i have completed it so well in fact that i now try to accomplish one a day-----hope this helps-enjoy the day

Have you tried setting tiny little goals with little rewards attached to each goal?

Don't worry; you're human!

You can't. Free will is an illusion. You're just along for the ride.

It is called Procrastination----
and fear of the unknown,
or fear of confrontation, or some other thing.

I'm there!

BUT, WE ARE SELFISH PEOPLE.
If we get 'US' off our minds--our lives will be more carefree.
