Prior to our birth our life map is already prepared by the Creator. He has already determined as to the place and people we r to meet in life and the reasons for the same. We meet only selected people and not everyone. As a child we follow the deity as is being done in the family. When we grow up and our experience and development of mind guides us to the deity that meets our needs. We may or may not choose another deity. Seemingly we choose the Lord but the pre-plan is already made as per our account with God.

Namaste!
First God chooses us and then we choose God too.

When we are in degradation we need God, but exactly because we are in degradation we cannot find God so He has to find us and choose us. He does not choose us based on personal liking or disliking, but according to one or another virtue we may have that God can use to make us from degraded into elevated. At some point or another He will choose everyone in the sense that everyone will become his best from whatever condition is now in. At that time we are like someone who starts a business from scrap and God is the one who gives us credit. But He is a very clever Businessman - the cleverest - He knows whom to invest in and how much.

Then after some time - when we realize what is going on - yeees.....we do choose God too....:). But this is not the end of the deal also because then we have to choose God every second. At the end there will be a ballance as to - in how many heartbeats was there God and in how many there was someone or something else. But this is our part of the deal.

The one who understands this understands the essence of ''manmanabhav'' and the one who practices this is equal to the title of mahavir. They say there is a grain of truth in the scriptures like a pinch of salt in a sack of flour. This is a grain of truth.
