Religious nuts are usually the ones who think they gotta act spooky to be spiritual. They don't! They usually end up being more "fleshly" than spiritual. But the Holy Spirit is Amazing! He is...perfect and essencial to our living the Christian life! The secret to the Christian life is letting Him live His life through us! A great book on that subject is by Watchman Nee "Not without the Spirit."

I do sometimes! Have a bit of work to do on some aspects of my attitude apparantly!
Hope I'm not a religious nut....think I used to be a bit full on with the zealous evanglising but God has shown me how to do it in order to make a difference.

The Holy Spirit comes to you if you invite Him, yet not necessarily. Sinners, like Saul (or Paul) of Damascus was converted (like all of us now in the civilized world, as you can see in the Vatican and other break away Christian denominations). If we were not touched by the Holy Spirit, the whole Church has collapsed many centuries ago!

I do......but I leak

Ephesians 1:13-14 “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession—to the praise of his glory.”

2 Corinthians 1:21-22 “Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.”

i sometimes feel more full that other times thank you God that our salvation and your preasence doesn't rely on feelings. i'm still learning to listen to the holy spirits promptings but then i guess we all are for the entire stretch of out lives.
the holy spirit is God's seal of ownership on us isn't it wonderful to have such a garentee!

p.s. it is wonderful to see so many positive answers.

AMEN SISTER!!! I love God, the Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. On my walk this morning I was singing praise and talking with Him. I felt his presents strongly. Then when I looked out at the mountains and the sun shining on them I couldn't help but thank Him for His creation.

You really shouldn't "feel" anything because your spirit doesn't feel anything......what happens if you are full of the Spirit is that others will see your fruits flowing out of you like living waters, that's the acid test. Feelings are prone to be unreliable.

It is profane to reduce the Holy Spirit to a feeling.
