If I can't honestly answer the question, I usually leave it alone, unless it's something silly and blatantly insulting. In those cases, I sometimes feel the need to return the favor.

No, I will move on and look for a question I can answer.
I get irritated to see people who answer questions when they don't have a clue to the answer - let me give an example:
Common answers to 'why is the sky blue'
'Because it reflects the ocean' or
'What other colour was god gonna make it, red?' WRONG WRONG WRONG!

If someone asks me a question that has an answer, and I don't know it, I reply: "I don't know."
If it is subjective in any way, I will state my thoughts and interpretations on the subject based on the knowledge I have ascertained throughout my life. But it will always be prefaced with an "I think..."
