Didn't you ever wonder how the Federal Reserve can just print all the greenbacks it wants, yet the money's still 'good?' Clearly it's a miracle! And the reason God uses his power to make our money good is because we remember Him on our bills and coins.

Do you want your atheist pet cause of removing His name from our money to destroy our economy?

How do you know how much of what you feel about a situation, a person, a place, anything, is intuition, or anything else, when you are emotionaly involved, in some way?

I'm NOT asking for advice, this is a general question. I'm just curious about how YOU (not me :) ) know the difference.

Thank you for your answers! :)

Have a wonderful night/day! :)

"In her heyday, Columbia represented everything good and just and kind about America. She was, in her own way, an avatar of The White Goddess ... the Moon Mother, an embodiment of poetry, transformation, and dreams for a wiser tomorrow. In America's mythic history, Uncle Sam only comes around when our young country is mouthing off and spoiling for a fight. Before that, when our military ambitions were dedicated only to defending the fragile dream of democracy, the spirit of the land was seen as a woman, this woman, Columbia, the Goddess of Democracy."

A PREACHER ON THE FENCE

From out of the millions of the earth,
God often calls a man
To preach the Word,
and for the truth take a royal stand.
‘Tis sad to see him shun the Cross,
And not stand in its defense
Between the fields of right and wrong:
-A PREACHER ON THE FENCE-.

Before him are the souls of men
Bound for Heaven or Hell;
An open Bible in his hand,
And yet he will not tell
All the truth that’s written there,
It surely is an offence—
The joys of Heaven, the horrors of Hell—
-A PREACHER ON THE FENCE-.

Now surely God has called the man
To battle for the right.
‘Tis his to ferret out the wrong
And turn on us the light.
And yet he dare not tell the truth,
He fears the consequence.
The most disgusting thing on earth
-IS A PREACHER ON THE FENCE-.

If he should stand up for the wrong,
The right he’d not defend;
If he should stand up for the right,
The wrong he would offend.
His mouth is closed, he cannot speak
For freedom or against.
Great God deliver us from
-A PREACHER ON THE FENCE-.

But soon both sides will find him out
And brand him as a fraud,
A coward who dares not to please
The devil or his God.
Oh God, free us from fear of man,
From cowardly pretence;
And save us from the devils servant,
-THE PREACHER ON THE FENCE-.

Ok, how long ago did Adam and Eve live ? Did they live before or after the extinction of the dinosaurs. They were made right after God said: "In the beginning God[2] created the heavens and the earth.[3] The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters." God makes the first day and night; the "firmament" separating "the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament;" dry land and seas and plants and trees which grew fruit with seed; the sun, moon and stars in the firmament give light upon the earth; creates air-breathing sea creatures and birds; and on the sixth day, makes "the beasts of the earth according to their kinds.' "Then God said, Let us make man in our image .. in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."[4] On the seventh day God rests from the task of completing the heavens and the earth: "So God blessed the seventh day

God sees everything we do. He's everywhere in His fullness at every single moment in time. He knows everything before it ever happens. He is timeless and unchanging. He has a master plan in which we all play a specific and special role.

Question #1: Do you believe we are determined or free? Or possibly a mix of the two? Please explain why you think that way.

Question #2: Romans 9 says that God has already chosen who will be condemned to Hell and who will be given eternal life with Him in Heaven. Do you think that this means in any way that we should not strive to help others because their fate is already sealed so to speak? What other implications does this passage have?

Thank you so much!

Really think about this. Do not reply with 'saving souls'. if there's only one god, then not every religion is 'saving souls'. Also, don't give me "Well churches give money to charities, like hurrican Katrina.." Wal-mart, the bakery down the street, and ost highschools give money to charities, probably more money. MOST organizations give money to things like hurrican Katrina relief efforts, so don't throw that one at me. What has religion actually DONE (positively) for mankind? What good has come from it? Because i can think of a whole lot of bad, and I'm hoping maybe the good outweighs it.

The REAL Jesus
There is "another Jesus" that is not the REAL Jesus of
the Bible (2 Cor. 11:4). Salvation can only take place
only through faith in the REAL Jesus. Faith in
"another Jesus" cannot save anyone. So how can you
tell if you have the REAL Jesus?
The Jesus of the Bible...
-- is prayed to - Acts 7:55-60; Psalm 116:4
and Zech. 13:9 with 1 Cor. 1:1-2
-- is worshiped - Matt. 2:2,11; 14:33; 28:9;
John 9:35-38; Heb. 1:6
-- is called God - John 20:28; Heb. 1:8; Isa.
9:6
-- is the ONLY way to God - John 14:6; Acts
4:12
-- did not come to bring peace, but a
sword - Matt. 10:34
-- tells us to fear God - Matt. 10:28
-- tells us that the world will hate us - John
15:18-19, 17:14
-- tells us Christians can expect to suffer -
Matt. 5:45; John 16:33; Heb. 11:35-38; 1 Pet.
4:12; 1 John 3:13
-- commands us share the gospel - Matt.
28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8

I started my sojourn through R&S and some other places on the internet where I could find atheists. I really believed that logic, reasoning and a calm attitude of love would eventually make them see the errors of their ways and beliefs. But, while it may have worked on a few (who became agnostics and even theists as a result), I have found that the majority were much more dogmatic and hostile than I expected. Even in the more mature forums where you could find atheists with good brains, I saw traits of stubborness and the kind of immaturity you would only expect to see from the ones on Yahoo Answers. I sometimes feel like giving up but the few whose hearts and minds have changed have given me hope. But I'd like to ask the opinion of other Christians if you think it is worthwhile or if the best thing is to just pray for them and hope that they see the truth someday. Thank you.
