According to evolutionists, if I'm right, mankind has evolved over millions and millions of years. Well, all those many years ago we learned how to use fire and began to cook meat, realizing it tasted better that way (never mind sushi). So, my question, since we haven't used our appendix in millions and millions of years to digest raw meat, why hasn't it disappeared yet. I mean, everything else about us has changed so much, what's up with that?

for a 34 year old man I have known my entire life. One minute he was happy, enjoying his new motorcycle and time with his friends. A few minutes later he was dead. So I am home now from that, with a kick-in-the-butt reality check, realizing that no matter how much difficult life can be, I am here. I am alive.

So, my question is this... All the hate, anger, insults etc... here... is this how we should live our life? Life is short. Shouldn't we all try to be happy, to live and let live?

I have a family member who is an atheist. He has been one for years and it doesn't look like that is going to change any time soon. I have tried talking to him, but nothing seems to make any difference.

This is troubling, because I believe that the only way to Heaven is through Jesus. I do not want him to go to Hell.

Has anyone else gone through this experience?

I feel powerless.

Is there such a thing as cold?

You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat, mega-heat, unlimited heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat, but we don't have anything called 'cold'. We can hit up to 458 degrees below zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than the lowest -458 degrees. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total absence of heat. You see, cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can measure in thermal units because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, just the absence of it.

In Galatians 1:8-9, it is written:
“But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!”

So, certainly this is an extremely serious matter!

Therefore, let’s say you encountered a person who had never even heard of God’s laws, sin, hell, heaven, Jesus, or the Bible...

How exactly would you share the Gospel with them?

I.e. What exactly IS the true Gospel message?

Why is it when we answer your questions, explain our beliefs, defend our faith, and spread the good news of JESUS CHRIST....

....then all of a sudden we are "forcing our beliefs" on you or "shoving our religion down your throats"?!? What's with all the melodrama?

How can we force or shove anything on you?!? Are you that passive and submissive??? So weak and unable to defend yourself that an articulate, intelligent Christian is a threat to your whole specious belief system?!?

How about just admitting it?

All we are doing is telling you the truth; and to you, it feels like judgment.

Here's my side of the story, you know for a fact all religions are different. To me the different things we belive how to treat God
are just opinions because their different if they were the same religion it would be real. To me their is no wrong way to treat God good as long as you treat him with respect. People say that religion is bad because religions are different from each other and people will start arguing because they hear something they don't belive in that other religions do. So I'd like it if you can answer my question. Whats your side of the story?

I was on a school trip today and we went to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine and I noticed in 3 spots there was a pattern of 7 candles. 2 structures that resembled menorahs (and obviously were not since it's an episcopal church) and 7 candles hanging down from the ceiling in a similar style. When I asked my teachers none of them were sure and I couldn't find anyone who had much of a clue. Any help?
A photo of the candles. It's on the left and you can just see the mirrored one on the right.

The US has laws against cruel and unusual punishment in our constitution. The worst of the worst of our criminals are treated in a humane fashion and even if facing the death penalty it is carried out in the least cruel fashion possible.

Why do most Christians seem to have no problem with the torture of the wicked with fire for eternity when even in a fallen world we would not do such a thing?

Eternity is a long time folks.

Revelations is but a poem of lament after the Romans destroyed Jerusalem in 70 AD.. Early Christians expected Christ to return sooner rather than later and to save Jerusalem from destruction from the Romans. Thus, Revelations the poem was written. Each of the gospels has some poetic license built in though - each gospel was written for a specific community at the time: each gospel is a Christianity marketing piece with historical information included.

Agree or not Agree ?

4:157 . That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah.;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-

This verse says they were made to believe a lie.

600 years man was made to believe a lie.
What happens to those who believe the lie born and died between the crucifiction and the time of Muhammad?

Can Allah righteously judge those who were born and died believing a lie Allah made them believe?

Was it right for Allah to deceive them their entire lives? Even before they were born?
Isn't it obvious this could not be true?
The true God sent word of the coming Messiah that he would atone for sin thousands of years before the birth of the Messiah.
Is it reasonable to believe he changed his mind and deceved generations of people?
