for a 34 year old man I have known my entire life. One minute he was happy, enjoying his new motorcycle and time with his friends. A few minutes later he was dead. So I am home now from that, with a kick-in-the-butt reality check, realizing that no matter how much difficult life can be, I am here. I am alive.

So, my question is this... All the hate, anger, insults etc... here... is this how we should live our life? Life is short. Shouldn't we all try to be happy, to live and let live?

Paulo- I compromise nothing. But I refuse to argue personal beliefs. You believe what you wish and I will too.

You do have a point. I have been considering taking a break from this board. As all it does is make me pissed. At least my friends and family see nothing wrong that I don't have a belief. I guess, I just wanted proof that the world isn't as bad as it seems. Unfortunately, I think that I just proved to myself it is. It's quite sad.

Life is short you could live two hundred years and not live long enough. If you like the guy then be happy that you knew him. anger and all the other things that goes with it are not worth it you will just drive away the people that you care about that are still alive. So enjoy them while there alive no sense in being angry life is to short.

Yea. . .I'm with you in principle, at least. In practice, I'm too much of a realist to believe that it's ever going to happen. Northern Ireland, Palestine, Pakistan. . .this forum is a microcosm of the real world. As long as one group thinks that they have the god-given right to force their beliefs on someone else, there will be no peace anywhere. The best thing we can do is to "speak peaceably to all men" and put understanding and compassion into all that we say.

I totally agree with you.

Why can't we just say what we believe in and let people decide? If I were looking for a religion to join I would be wary of those who bash other religions especially if it is a Christian denomination. I can't bring myself to understand Christians bashing their fellow Christians. Jesus prayed for those who believed in him to be one. Bashing each other is definitely not the way to do it. It will just create more animosity. Haven't we forgotten the 30 years war betwewen Protestants and Catholics which claimed more lives than the holocaust?

Why not try to convert Muslims, Buddhists, and atheists first?

My condolences for your loss.

You just reminded me of my best friend. He had a girlfriend who was a total witch until one day we all were in a car accident after that he relieved himself of almost all the stress in his life. Stupid fights aren't worth it is what i am getting at nore are hate and anger. Your goal in life should be to live to the happiest you can.

I agree, however, we are human, and subject to reactions to environment within and without. Meaning, our moods and reactions to stimuli are prompted by how we feel at any given moment combined with our genetic makup, childhood influences, and especially how we feel physically at any given moment. All we can do is strive to rise above that and determine to not allow ourselves to react negatively when faced with a problem. Don't forget to forgive yourself when the inevitable happens and you freak out :D

Let it start with you...take this tragedy and make your life meaningful. Be the example of love, gratitude, faith, hope and joy. Take from this sad experience something that could make a change.
Peace be with you

You are right. All this bickering is pointless vanity. Love your friends and family like today is the last day that you will see them.

The world would rather us live and let live, but Jesus wants us to give the gospel to a dying world that they might be saved. Live and let live may be your sentiment, but I want to help as many as I can to find salvation.
