Here's my side of the story, you know for a fact all religions are different. To me the different things we belive how to treat God
are just opinions because their different if they were the same religion it would be real. To me their is no wrong way to treat God good as long as you treat him with respect. People say that religion is bad because religions are different from each other and people will start arguing because they hear something they don't belive in that other religions do. So I'd like it if you can answer my question. Whats your side of the story?

I see things a little differently. Sure, religions have some major differences, but they're very similar as well. Look at the bottom line of many of them: do unto others (etc etc), harm none, love one another, etc. Most of them also show our connection to each other as well as the spiritual world. My problem with the idea of "religions" is that when we make labels, we tend to only see the differences instead of the similarities. It divides us. Yes, I'm a bit of a "love and peace" type hippie, but that's ok. lol So, I'm from the side that all religions are a piece of one very large puzzle and there's value in all of them (unless they practice something that inflicts harm on someone...not so keen on that). Each god, goddess, angel, saint, prophet, etc has something to teach us.

I think the existence of religions is just inevitable. Humans have brains that are heavy on pattern-seeking, and people have feelings they can't put into words, a need for making sense of the world, a need for a purpose in life, etc. So it's inevitable that people created organized systems of beliefs for doing all these things.

Even if all the religions were to go away tomorrow, people would still have their questions and their own subjective experiences, want the sense of awe, want to find patterns in it all and summarize it in some consistent way. Then you'd just have a slew of new religions.

This is what i believe, i dont believe in a god, I dont believe in any magical bible stories. I think life was just random and has just developed over years, there is evidence in biology not in christianity (you cant call the bible proof, I read charlie and the chocolate factory but it doesnt mean its true) Its just a way for humans who are scared of death or the meaning of life to have something to settle their minds, but i believe there is no point to life, there is no special spirits inside us, we're just meat and bone, evolved organic matter, and evolution doesnt happen for a reason, it happens because thats the way things go, like a ball under the action of gravity, nothing controls evolution, its a very simple thing with amazing consequences. I dont see how christians dont believe in evolution, its as obvious as a,b,c. A giraffe that is too small to reach the leaves on a tree would die of stavation and wouldnt breed and make small offspring and the tall ones would survive etc, and if you dont believe in genes then why do u think sons look like their dads and mums, ans brothers look like their sisters, (most of the time).
How is that not obvious?
I think there is no point to life, you die and thats it, it might be a depressing thought, but not everything is fun, life is cruel, it doesnt have a brain to think about you or empathise with you. and thats what i believe. Im not saying religion is not true, im open minded, anything has potential to be true in my opinion, i will just need a bit of evidence to believe it, not hope.
So christians, please try and convert me, i want to hear your arguments, I dont hate you, i just have different beliefs and want to hear you try and prove mine wrong. Sorry if i moved away from the question, but you asked for my side of the story

No.

My religion is Hinduism.

Hinduism, the world’s oldest religion, has no beginning--it precedes recorded history. It has no human founder. It is a mystical religion, leading the devotee to personally experience the Truth within, finally reaching the pinnacle of consciousness where man and God are one. Hinduism has four main denominations--Saivism, Shaktism, Vaishnavism and Smartism.

The following nine facts, though not exhaustive, offer a simple summary of Hindu spirituality or about Hinudism.

1 Hindus believe in a one, all-pervasive Supreme Being who is both immanent and transcendent, both Creator and Unmanifest Reality.
2 Hindus believe in the divinity of the four Vedas, the world's most ancient scripture, and venerate the Agamas as equally revealed. These primordial hymns are God's word and the bedrock of Sanatana Dharma, the eternal religion.
3 Hindus believe that the universe undergoes endless cycles of creation, preservation and dissolution.
4 Hindus believe in karma, the law of cause and effect by which each individual creates his own destiny by his thoughts, words and deeds.
5 Hindus believe that the soul reincarnates, evolving through many births until all karmas have been resolved, and moksha, liberation from the cycle of rebirth, is attained. Not a single soul will be deprived of this destiny.
6 Hindus believe that divine beings exist in unseen worlds and that temple worship, rituals, sacraments and personal devotionals create a communion with these devas (divine beings) and God.
7 Hindus believe that an enlightened master, or satguru, is essential to know the Transcendent Absolute, as are personal discipline, good conduct, purification, pilgrimage, self-inquiry, meditation and surrender in God.
8 Hindus believe that all life is sacred, to be loved and revered, and therefore practice ahimsa, noninjury, in thought, word and deed.
9 Hindus believe that no religion teaches the only way to salvation above all others, but that all genuine paths are facets of God's Light, deserving tolerance and understanding.

Hinduism is unique among the world's religions. I boldly proclaim it the oldest religion in the world. To begin with, it is mankind's oldest spiritual declaration, the very fountainhead of faith on the planet. Hinduism's venerable age has seasoned it to maturity. It is the only religion, to my knowledge, which is not founded in a single historic event or prophet, but which itself precedes recorded history. Hinduism has been called the "cradle of spirituality," and the "mother of all religions," partially because it has influenced virtually every major religion and partly because it can absorb all other religions, honor and embrace their scriptures, their saints, their philosophy. This is possible because Hinduism looks compassionately on all genuine spiritual effort and knows unmistakably that all souls are evolving toward union with the Divine, and all are destined, without exception, to achieve spiritual enlightenment and liberation in this or a future life.

This is What I Believe:
1. You are a Spirit (you reside in "a" Spiritual Realm
2. You have a Soul (mind, will and emotions) that resides in "The Mental Realm"
3. You live in a Body that Resides in the Physical Realm

Religion takes Place in the Soul (Mental Realm)

Knowing GOD Takes Place in the "Spiritual Realm"

"I have examined all the known superstitions of the world, and I do not find in our particular superstition of Christianity one redeeming feature. They are all alike founded on fables and mythology. Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned. What has been the effect of this coercion? To make one half of the world fools and the other half hypocrites; to support roguery and error all over the earth." ------- THOMAS JEFFERSON

"Christianity...[has become] the most perverted system that ever shone on man....Rogueries, absurdities and untruths were perpetrated upon the teachings of Jesus by a large band of dupes and imposters led by Paul, the first great corrupter of the teaching of Jesus." ------ THOMAS JEFFERSON

"In every country and in every age the PRIEST/PASTOR has been hostile to liberty; he is always in alliance with the despot, abetting his abuses in return for protection to his own." – THOMAS JEFFERSON

"...an amendment was proposed by inserting the words, 'Jesus Christ...the holy author of our religion,' which was rejected-----'By a great majority in proof that they meant to comprehend, within the mantle of its protection, the Jew and the Gentile, the Christian and the Mohammedan, the Hindoo and the Infidel of every denomination.'" ----- From Jefferson's biography:
------------------

"Religion and government will both exist in greater purity, the less they are mixed together." -- James Madison

"In no instance have . . . the churches been guardians of the liberties of the people." - James Madison

--------------------

"I almost shudder at the thought of alluding to the most fatal example of the abuses of grief which the history of mankind has preserved--the Cross. Consider what calamities that engine of grief has produced!"--John Adams in a letter to Thomas Jefferson

"The divinity of Jesus is made a convenient cover for absurdity. Nowhere in the Gospels do we find a precept for Creeds, Confessions, Oaths, Doctrines, and whole carloads of other foolish trumpery that we find in Christianity." --John Adams

"The Government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion." - John Adams, Founding Father and 2nd US President.
-----------------------

"The Bible is not my book nor Christianity my profession. I could never give assent to the long, complicated statements of Christian dogma."
-- Abraham Lincoln

"If they be good workmen, they may be from Asia, Africa, or Europe; they may be Mohammedans, Jews, or Christians of any sect, or they may be Atheists." – GEORGE WASHINGTON

They (the Hebrews) work more effectively against us, than the enemy's armies. They are a hundred times more dangerous to our liberties and the great cause we are engaged in... It is much to be lamented that each state, long ago, has not hunted them down as pest to society and the greatest enemies we have to the happiness of America. (From The Maxims of George Washington by A. A. Appleton & Co.) ---------- GEORGE WASHINGTON:
-----------------------------

Lighthouses are more helpful than churches." - BENJAMIN FRANKLIN

"The way to see by faith is to shut the eye of reason."-- BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, 1758

"I wish it (Christianity) were more productive of good works ... I mean real good works ... not holy day keeping, sermon-hearing ... or making long prayers, filled with flatteries and compliments despised by wise men, and much less capable of pleasing the Deity." -- BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, _Works_ Vol.VII, p.75

"If we look back into history for the character of the present sects of Christianity, we shall find few that have not in turns been persecutors and complainers of persecution. The primitive Christians thought persecution extremely wrong in Pagans, but practiced it on one another. The first Protestants of the Church of England blamed persecution on the Roman church, but preactied i on the Puritans. They found it wrong in Bishops, but fell into the practice both here (England) and in New England"-- BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, 1758

Christianity [Religion] I found to be without any tendency to inspire, promote, or confirm morality, serves principally to divide us and make us unfriendly to one another."-- BENJAMIN FRANKLIN
