I saw another user post this comment and I wanted to hear your thoughts. I personally believe this is true and I find it ironic that they help out someone so much that they do not believe in.

I do not fault atheists for this. They are doing what they "think" is right. It is completely unintentionally, but if you think about it, Satan's biggest goal is to get people to reject Jesus and well, what are atheists about? No God.

Your thoughts?

One time, I worked with this lady, she was my age, which meant she should have "it" together by now. She told me she was from Minnesota, pronounced Men ahh soooh TAH. Well, being the friendly guy that I am , I told her I was born in Texas, pronounced North Mexico. So for the next month, every day when I went to work, she would say "Steers and Queers, Steers and Queers, nothing else comes out of Texas." Well I had heard this only several thousand times in my life, and yeah, it's kind of cute the first time. But on and on, day upon day, this lady went on. It started to eat at me and turn me to a dark side of myself that I don't like to look at, and I devised my evil plan. I thought about Minnesota alot, for a couple of weeks. Then, she said it again, and I pounced like a tiger on prey. I said, "You moose chip collectin, igloo dwelling, Prince listening, metal helmet with horns wearing, malumute mushing, cheese eating, daughter of Norwegian bachelor farmers." She cried. Later, so did I.

for some reason in Isaiah 14: 12- 16 and Ezekial 28 : 12 (B) - 16...People don't want to think Lucifer is who we now call Satan. Why is that? Lucifer was cast out of the mountain of God .Jesus said"I saw Satan fall like lightning". Isaiah says "How art thou fallen from Heaven?..."
What's the problem .It is Satan, get over it.He still has acess to heaven on a temporary basis (Zecheriah 3 and Job 1) but some day Michael will thrust him out for good.Of course ,then all Hell will break out on Earth, but that's for the book of Revelation!

i want to know how you can take specific ideals or values from other religions and compound it into an unoffensive, completely free religion. if any one has any suggestions about which religions to "borrow" from i'd be honored to hear about them. and please...no "your going to hell for blasphemy" responses. I WILL REPORT IT AS HARASSMENT.

As a whole we're easily the most peaceful people on the face of the planet. There is no historical evidence, both ancient or contemporary, that anyone ever commited any atrocity in the name of Atheism. We don't try to force our beliefs on others or condemn people that live in an alternate lifestyle. So, why are we generally disliked?
And, before any of you Christians that may be reading this gets an orgasm for the chance of accusing an Atheist of having a persecution complex, I have no such complex. This is a genuine question.

Did evolution give you an eye that is so intricately designed? Did evolution make your brain and give you a conscious that tells you right from wrong?
Seriously----think really hard about this, without jumping to "wanting" to believe an alternative to God. Because if no one was in charge since the beginning of time--- WE and everything you see around you would NOT exist.

I feel guilty when I watch porn or when I masturbate, so I desperately want to stop, but I can't stop myself. When I'm alone, the temptation gets the better of me and despite my best efforts I can't stop. I need some advice on how to stop.

Please don't suggest telling someone (for accountability) b/c I find my habit despicable and don't want others (especially someone I know well) to know.

The Jehovah that comes to my house will stand at the door and knock for nearly a half an hour. My mom works the night shift and sleeps during the day. My dog barks when someone is at the dor so my dog barks the wHole time she is there. Sometimes my mom answers the door and tells them that they are disrupting her sleep but they keep coming back, interupting her sleep time. In addition to this when any one of my family members opens the door, comes up within inches of you. She sometimes put her foot in the door jam. I have never experienced this behavior with ANY Mormons that have come to my door, they usually go away and don't come back, after we ask them that we aren't interested.

What I'm asking is, is this behavior typical? How do you go about you door to door duties?

Shouldn't reality be very chaotic without a God? Why would mathematics, writing, scientific laws, brains and other organized systems exist at all in a Godless reality? What would be the point of all this order - to just survive more effectively? Why would anything need to survive?

In the greetings from Rene(page 1 para 2) what does he mean by circular when he says "Granted, it is altogether true that we must believe in God's existence because it is taught in the Holy Scriptures, and, conversely, that we must believe the Holy Scriptures because they have come from God, the very same one who gives the grace that is necessary for believing the rest can also give the grace to believe that he exsits. Nonetheless, this reasoning cannot be proposed to unbelievers because they would judge it or be circular."

Why can't they just go to church and shut up? Why must they try and get things removed from TV, Beat on my door at 8 in the morning try and stop places from having gambling and the like?

I don't walk around to people's door telling them why Jesus is a phony brought to power by a roman committee to control a populous that was becoming unruly. I don't go to church and hold up signs of aborted babies saying how great a hanger is for birth control. I sure don't go around telling them they are wrong for believing some man in the clouds created everything and evolution is the only answer.

Why can't they just shut up!

if the idea ofgod is in the head of someone how can anyone else say it doesnt exist??
reality is measured by self cognition not by general consensus...in that way we all should agree that memories dont exist??? and when i say memories i dont mean the fact the memories recall but the personal impression an experience left on someone...
god exists as long as one person believes since no one in here is a god and can limit and trace the boundaries of reality...Are thoughts real? if so the same authority that makes them real makes the thought of god real
I am philosophical today, normally i am more an anti christian agnostic with atheist tendencies...
now that i think of it we maybe should talk about an internal reality and an external one...but can we say an external reality exists?? since an external reality is just what we can perceive through our senses then subject to our perception and therefore only exists because we perceive it , same as god.

And Jesus looking upon then said, with men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible. Mark 10:27

Faith consists in believing when it is beyond the power of reason to believe. It is not enough that a thing be possible for it to be believed.
Voltaire
