No. I think it depends on the individual. Some people are alive but they've given up. For others it lights a fire.

No. Heart attacks, strokes, joint damage cause permanent damage leaving one weaker. Mental trauma may strengthen resolve but leaves emotional scars that can haunt for a lifetime.

No. It can cripple you give you mental damage, destroy your confidence, make you hateful, untrusting, cause confusion etc. Well, if you can see all this as some form of strength, then yes. All in the eye of the beholder I quess.

My brother was poisoned(dumb *** ate a wild mushroom that ended up being a tosdstool) ,it didn't kill him but it screwed his liver up .No ,he is not stronger.
