Did evolution give you an eye that is so intricately designed? Did evolution make your brain and give you a conscious that tells you right from wrong?
Seriously----think really hard about this, without jumping to "wanting" to believe an alternative to God. Because if no one was in charge since the beginning of time--- WE and everything you see around you would NOT exist.

The human eye is badly designed. Squid eyes are much better. But yes, it was designed by natural forces over millions of years.

A brain cannot always tell right from wrong...brain injuries (not soul injuries) can severely affect one's behavior and "right from wrong". There are even people with otherwise healthy brains are sociopaths, which no empathy or sympathy. But yes, it was designed over millions of years by natural forces.

But lets assume there was a "designer" who kick started the laws of physics that allowed, billions of years later, beings like ourselves to exist. Seriously---think hard about this, what does that tell us about that designer?

Nothing...nada...zilch. Evidence that a "g"od designer exists (as you claim, and as I deny) is NO evidence that that god is your GOD (named Yahweh/Jesus, or whatever).

It is a horrible leap in logic to claim that. It is like saying because you have seen a horse before, it is perfectly rational to believe in horses that are 75 feet tall and colored purple.

Yes, it did all those things and more. And just "thinking about it" is why you don't understand. You need to study the scientific facts if you are going to evaluate evolution. The human brain and eye are topics which have been thoroughly studied and there is no reason to doubt evolution. They're old fundie arguments which keep coming up. And keep getting blown away, and keep coming up again.

1. Yes. Well, it gave me the ability to cerebrate the way I do. Genetics helped, obviously. Also, so does my personality.

2. Yes. It's very simple, really. Irreducible complexity is a fallacious argument by the way.

3. Yes, seeing as how I am a social mammal, I need to not kill or harm my tribal unit.

You Christians are silly, sure it makes a hell of alot more sense that a man is living in the sky that reads all your thoughts and tells you to do things like murder people. Makes alot of sense that gay people should be killed and those that work on Sunday also. There is no proof of god. Religious folk are brainwashed, I honestly feel sorry for you.

God made me (and all humans) in His own image.
Animals may evolve within their own species, but God, in His great sense of imagination and humor, made the world with marvelous intricacy.

By taking a long and thoughtful look at what God has created, people have always been able to see what their eyes as such can't see: eternal power, for instance, and the mystery of his divine being.

no other creation can take a copy of Shakespeare:
read it (in their mind and out load).
Type an exact copy.
act it out on a stage.
memorize it.
cut it up like a puzzle and put it back together (correctly).

no ape, monkey, etc could ever write a play.

Atheists boast about being geniuses by denying God.How were they ever able to use their freewill to decide that.

How do one celled plants and animals know about survival.

According to research, we are smarter than our parents, and our parents are smarter than our grandparents. Every generation has a higher IQ than the last.

So yes, evolution did make us smart.

Ummmm... there are fish with eyes that are blind because it is an organ that is no longer needed for the fishes survival.

I have a tailbone and an appendix. Why?

I have the genetic ability to regrow limbs but that sequence is not functioning. (Is your god so twisted as to put this in the DNA then deny amputees that ability to regrow their limbs. What a sick ***!)

No.

The eye is not designed.

The brain is not designed.

However, yes, they did evolve, as did our conscience.

However, I will give you this -- prove these things were designed, show me that ANYTHING in nature was 'designed', and you will have proven the existence of a designer.

Pity there's nothing in nature that was designed.
