Perhaps you are confusing me with the Christians who have been slamming the peaceful philosophy of Buddhism all evening?
I have never tried to turn another person away from God.
I find something of value in almost every religion and belief system I have studied.
I am truly sorry you do not have the same peace.

I joined another forum several years ago partly because I saw what the atheist were writing and being the person I am and having been a Christian for nearly 50 yrs, I truly thought I knew more than they did and could convince somebody that the Bible is true and how could anyone question that there is a God who created this world and all that is in it. I found out quite quickly that the atheist know the Bible better than most Christians and for every answer I thought I had, they had one better. Atheists cannot turn a person against their belief in God unless the belief is not strong to begin with. The Bible is not an easy book to believe and understand and what most people don't realize is it is accepted by faith. If we try to reason how a brown cow eats green grass and gives white milk, we would all be nuts accept for those most intelligent folks who think only with their minds and not their hearts.
I stopped arguing the points with atheists and if someone truly wants to know and believe that Christ is the son of God and through him is our way to heaven then I am more than willing to talk with that person. But for atheist to convince someone to reject Christ will not happen if that person is grounded in the word.
I have been told by people that I did believe but I don't anymore. This I have yet to understand. In Noah's time there had been no rain. Then God sent the flood because of the sins in the world and destroyed it and gave us the rainbow as a promise he would not destroy the world by water again. My question is how can that be questioned? If there had been no rain, no rainbow but now we do is that not a sign that there is a God.
Anyone who truly believes and accepts Christ as our Savior cannot be turned away by anyone. That is my belief. Romans 8 (I think) says there is nothing that can separate us from the love of God and that means athesits.

thinking the shown fact that God created "each and each ingredient" and devil can in uncomplicated terms reproduction, then i might would desire to declare the the devil isn't extraordinarily much as clever as God. He does have skill to rule the very air we breathe, so this is comprehensible that he might like to have an incredible effect on all individuals, everywhere. Norway & Sweden are to no longer any quantity greater advantageous indicative of the best of evil. The Soviet Union had no want for faith the two, we had greater advantageous athiests there than all of Sweden's and Norway's comprehensive inhabitants. after which there is China! did you know the way many atheists are floating around there? Now this is a real good party of customary look after one and yet yet another isn't it? How approximately Cuba? devil has effect. an infinite quantity of effect, this is a given. yet what he have not got is God's powers. He below no situations will. If he did then you definately would wager he might like to have won the 1st war. the only in Gods kingdom. devil did no longer. He lost. So did his followers. So with that for the period of recommendations...you may ask your self, does the evil of devil surely overide the capacity of God, or is his powers enable loose in uncomplicated terms via Gods allowance?

Do Christians really have nothing better to do with their time? I suppose if you really do believe their is man in the sky with a magic wond then sure I guess we must be the devil huh? I call your thoughts "swallow" and ignorant. We do not turn people against god, we defend our right to say we are the more intelligent of the species because we were born using our whole brains not just the part that tells us to follow what everybody else believes. I guess you will find the truth when you die and go nowhere.

Well, considering you probably saw it come from me, you already know how I feel, but I'll say it again. Some Christians constantly think that I'm in a covenant with Satan until they realize that I am not insane or evil. Other Christians believe that just because I don't believe in God doesn't mean I'm a bad person. I don't even believe in Satan.

I think that you have crossed the line here
As an atheist, I do not believe in God, or Satan! As a christian, that is your thing! And what a bang up job your doing, submitting to the will of the Prince of Lies! And, you are bearing false witness!
Breaking your rules, not mine!
I mind my own business, and I will be glad to leave you alone! As long as you leave ME alone!
Now, could you take your hatred somewhere else! Like church, maybe?

I believe that for the most part they do not work for Satan so to speak. Most true Atheist don't believe in God or Satan. Although some of the bashing and name calling by those who claim to be Atheist (and I know this is not all Atheist) kind of makes you wonder though. Some may see it as a loss for the side of God, because they won't believe. I see it as a loss for themselves as they continue to turn God away. So unfortunate huh?

John, forgive me if I am missing the humor that perhaps you intended. My thoughts are that the millions of atheists in the world lack interest in your question for the simple reason that talking of god and gods and satan et al. is a bloody waste of time...like, say, talking about the eating habits of the Bible's unicorns and whether your god's talking snake spoke French or the dying language of islanders in the West of Ireland.

No, I think people have a tendency to turn people away from their own philosophies and beliefs much faster. One bad Christian will hurt religion a thousand times more than any atheist ever could. ..and that goes the other way too. I find it hard to take anyone seriously when they are ranting and raving about how stupid etc I am.

First, Satan and God are Imaginary. And as an Atheist, I don't fault you for how you believe either. I understand very well that you are merely doing what you "think" is right.

If God did exist, and Satan is pulling my strings like a puppet then you are correct. We could also assume then, that Christians which make statements that are hateful put people on the defensive, and more likely to see Christianity in a bad light. So Satan could be pulling their strings as well.
But, that requires God to exist.. I have yet to find any evidence to show that He does.
