Someone who was born and raised in Indian isn't rejecting Christianity, he's accepting Hinduism. If some christian missionary preaches to him, but he decides to stay with the tradition that he is familiar with, does that mean the Hindu is "rejecting" christ?

Or worse, following the devil? What about wiccans, buddhists and atheists who simply don't believe that jesus was god?

Are they "choosing hell" or just making a personal choice?

If I actually thought that god existed and jesus was salvation, I'd be a christian tommorrow. But I have NO reason at all to think that.

Atheists lie by claiming the myth that there is no god of any kind is truth.

Jews, Christians, Muslims and Mormons lie by claiming the myth that there is a god is truth.

I reject the lie that myth is truth. I do not claim that myth contained within this House of Ideology Manifesto is truth. I accept the truth that myth is myth. I claim that the myth and fantasy contained with this House of Ideology Manifesto is part of a model of self and world that enables me to have the highest esteem of self and world that I can possibly imagine. I think, believe and expect that if I can enable us to have the highest esteem of self and world that we can possibly imagine with the leadership, education, and entertainment provided by this House of Ideology Manifesto then we will be in the best possible position to achieve and maintain happiness and good health.

when the doctrine of the Trinity "per se" is not explicitly described in Scripture?

It's not "whoever believes in the Trinity shall not perish but have everlasting life" or "If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that God is a Trinity you will be saved."

So what's the big deal?

"Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined, imprisoned; yet we have not advanced an inch towards uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one half the world fools, and the other half hypocrites. To support roguery and error all over the earth."

Not saying any religion is right or wrong...but I find it annoying that people only follow a religion because that is the household they were raised in..i decided for myself what I wanted to follow..

Christians...why do you follow Christ as your lord and savior? What makes you so sure about that?

Jews...why do you follow your faith as opposed to others?

Muslims why do you follow your faith as opposed to others?

Everyone else why do you follow what you follow?

I believe theres a reason you think one faith is correct..

I mean some stars are millions and billions of light-years away. Now light-years are a measure of distance or more precisely, the distance traversed by light in one mean solar year.

So how do we see these stars unless they existed for millions or even billions of years?

How is the universe only 10,000 years or even 100 million years old when we can stars that are billions of light-years away?

I just don't understand!

Is God just accelerating the light coming from these stars so that the light from them arrives on earth faster?
Or is God making the speed of light slower in our solar system so that we underestimate the actual speed of light everywhere else?

I heard that God made the light come here during creation. If that were true does that mean the whole foundation of the science of astronomy wrong? Please help me understand!

Particularly Christians, atheists and Muslims, but if you can think of more please go ahead. Best answer to the person who can list the most religious groups and attach an animal to them, or the person who simply thinks of the funniest thing. And c'mon people, have a little fun. Don't just give your religion a "good" animal and everyone else a dumb animal.

I asked this earlier, but I want to ask it again with all the details from the start. I genuinely want to now the rationality behind killing for a god.

Would you kill because your god told you to? For example, would you sacrifice your son because you believe God wants you to do so?

If you think your god asked you to kill, does that mean you are a paranoid schizophrenic? Does that mean Abraham was a paranoid schizophrenic? Yes God intervened and spared him, and Abraham sacrificed a ram caught in the bushes, but this story is used as an example of faith.

If you would not kill for your god, does that mean you don't truly believe? If you think god would not ask such, does that mean there was a different god in the times of the Old Testament?

Or does that mean that God was mistaken in the Old Testament and learned the errors of his ways? Does that mean that God could have been wrong?

I was reading Hadith and saw Haya. It mentioned it was a part of faith that included many concepts including modesty, but didn't give a real definition. Later I saw Haya' and didn't think it was the same, but again no explanation of what it is.

Thank you for your help.

accidents or other things that cause death as God's will. Can Some one please explain?
It really does not make any sense to me that people say things such as "it was God's will" or "why God?" when people lose a loved one. I can not understand how people say that we have free will, but then do not accept it. If I chose to go swimming in the Zambezi River there is a good chance that I will be eaten by a crocodile. If I jump out of an airplane without a parachute I will die on impact when I hit the ground. If I decide to drive to the grocery store and get hit by a person that ran a red light and die how is God responsible? I even have the ability to take medicine to kill bacteria and infections that would have killed me had I not taken it. So do believers actually not believe in free will? If they do why do they not realize that we are the ones responsible and not God? People are always at risk of death, but we can put ourselves in situations where we are more vulnerable to it.

Jesus taught “Love you God with all your heart and all your soul.” And “Love your fellow man as you love yourself.”

Mohammed taught “Fear God, for he delights in torturing unbelievers in the afterlife.” And “Obey Mohammed in everything he says.”

Jesus’ teachings built upon the law of Moses, amplifying them and bringing them into focus. Mohammed’s teachings brought him wealth and power and sex, but seemed to have little to do with Moses' teachings.

Why is this, if the message is supposed to have come from the same God?

My parents recently died and I was going through their paperwork To pay some of their bills and I found an adoption paper, it stated I was adopted when I was 3 months old, plus there was a Baptismal Certificate saying I was Baptised in the Catholic Church, before the adoption, they never told me, they must have their reasons, and I don't hate them for not telling me.

I have wanted to become a Catholic for a long time and also a Priest, I feel this is my calling

I am 24 and after all this time, my parents never took me to Mass, am I a Catholic or do I have to start over again?

This is the main reason people are undecided about any monotheistic religion. If God loves us, knows what we need in order to believe in Him, and has the ability to provide that, why doesn't He? If He has power over Satan, why does he allow Satan to sway us?

You say that because we are all ''short of the Glory of God'' we need to take Jesus as our ''Saviour'', but GOD is the one that made us weak / imperfect, so what makes you think that he would expect us to be anything more than that ? If God made us weak then he will not question us for every small sin that we do, why Can't I just repent TO GOD, without saying that ''I'm worthless so I'll just take Jesus as a Saviour'' ?
