You say that because we are all ''short of the Glory of God'' we need to take Jesus as our ''Saviour'', but GOD is the one that made us weak / imperfect, so what makes you think that he would expect us to be anything more than that ? If God made us weak then he will not question us for every small sin that we do, why Can't I just repent TO GOD, without saying that ''I'm worthless so I'll just take Jesus as a Saviour'' ?

I disagree that God made us weak...he made us strong, we chose to be weak. He made us in his image, we chose to create our own image.

He doesn't expect us to be perfect...but to return to his presence, we must become like him again. To get back to the garden (and that tree of life) we need to get back something that Adam and Eve threw away. That's the part of the equation that requires a savior. Adam and Eve may have been at least partially aware of what they really lost when they left the garden...but they couldn't explain it to their children so how could we hope to understand so many generations later. We don't know what they lost or how to get it back...but God does. He knew that it was necessary to sacrifice his son to wash away the sins of the world if any of us was to have a chance to recover whatever it was we need to finally return to the home he created for us (God calls what we need "righteousness" but I don't think it's something we can fathom).

He doesn't. We are worthless an pathetic. We all are. We were made so that way so we could lean on him - like a parent. If I had a parent worthy of leaning on, I would. In a heart beat. You are taking this whole thing so literal. The Lord knows your heart. He likes to hear your words to back up you heart. It it not required. But if you are lukewarm, you can not get away with it. It is really simple. If you asked Jesus Christ into your heart and you meant it, you will change over time. You will not want to go out and be a hoe, or drinking with the gang. Or join in planning the demise of someone you don't like. That goes away.

If you really don't want to know Christ, He is not going to force Himself on you but, don't try to "know" Him and not take all of Him but try to take some of Him because the Bible says that you either take all or none of Him. There is no in between. Secondly, the Bible already speaks on us not being perfect and God realizing this that is why we strive for perfection. Please read the Word before putting these uneducated questions on the website. We as people do have to give in account for every sin that we do that's exactly why Christ is returning to separate the Christians from the sinners.

Mankind was perfect at one point, but since our spiritual fall into rebellion and defiance against God, we have lost His inerrant guidance that kept us from sinning, and now have gone so far beyond the mark that we are plagued by an alien and sinful nature, which keeps us from God's presence...

Exactly.
It doesn't make any sense that a perfect god would create imperfect beings and then punish them for his own short commings. Plus, the whole punishment for all eternity throws the whole all loving god argument out the window as well.

It's all a test. Haven't you heard that God puts us through tests and see if we can succeed? I mean even this question you asked could be a test to see if you realize the bigger picture or not. Think about it.

your taking it the wrong way

The point isn't that we're pathetic, worthless people, and in result i'll take jesus as my savior. the fact is that God IS better than us, therefore we need him to be "perfect"

to answer your question, when did we ever have to be perfect? that's why jesus died for us

if we were as powerful as God, why would we worship Him? we were sinless until Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit. He gave us Jesus so at least we have a chance now. its not as bad as you think it is.

better yet how does he expect us to believe in him without proof?

or how does he expect us to think hes perfect if he sent his own son(of all people) to sacrifice himself for us. if he killed countless animals and people during the flood. and if he told adam and eve they could eat from any tree except the one of knowledge, but then kicked them out cause he didnt want them to eat from the tree of immortality.
