I asked this earlier, but I want to ask it again with all the details from the start. I genuinely want to now the rationality behind killing for a god.

Would you kill because your god told you to? For example, would you sacrifice your son because you believe God wants you to do so?

If you think your god asked you to kill, does that mean you are a paranoid schizophrenic? Does that mean Abraham was a paranoid schizophrenic? Yes God intervened and spared him, and Abraham sacrificed a ram caught in the bushes, but this story is used as an example of faith.

If you would not kill for your god, does that mean you don't truly believe? If you think god would not ask such, does that mean there was a different god in the times of the Old Testament?

Or does that mean that God was mistaken in the Old Testament and learned the errors of his ways? Does that mean that God could have been wrong?

Is god cruel or good?
"I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy." (Jer. 13:14) "Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not, but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling."

"The Lord is very pitiful and of tender mercy." (James 5:11)
"For his mercy endureth forever." (1 Chron. 16:34)
"The Lord is good to all, and his tender mercies are over all his works." (Ps. 145:9)
"God is love." (1 John 4:16)

Here is the reason the Abraham story is *the* story of faith:

The Lord had already told Abraham that through him there would be a great nation, etc. Obviously, Abraham waited a *long* time for Isaac, so long in fact that Isaac's birth was miraculous. If Isaac had died before having children of his own, then God's promise to Abraham was null, no? (Unless the Lord made Abraham have *more* children after Isaac). By agreeing to sacrifice Isaac, Abraham was saying to the Lord, "Lord, I trust that your promise to me will still come true even if that means that you have to either a) raise my son from the dead, or b) make Sarah and me have another son even though we are already a squillion years old."

THAT is true faith --- to go so balls to the wall that you trust that God will fulfill His promise to you even if takes another *huge* miracle to get out of the situation you're in.

The Lord wants us to honor Him above any human; this much I know without a shadow of a doubt. Thankfully, since the Lord loves people so much and honors them as well, we never have to choose. We will naturally honor people when we follow the Lord's example. His heart is *for* His precious creation, thus when our hearts are like His, ours are too.

Wars are always STATE SPONSORED CAMPAIGNS.

The church never takes up arms against its enemies.

Here is our clear LAW

Mat 22:35 Then one of them, [which was] a lawyer, asked [him a question], tempting him, and saying,

Mat 22:36 Master, which [is] the great commandment in the law?

Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.

Mat 22:39 And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

After the perfect judgment, God creates the recent heavens and the recent earth. Christ will reign on the recent earth, and the earth would be populated completely by using people who in this earth in previous testomony circumstances placed there faith and have confidence in Jehovah, and because Christ's sacrifice have depended on in Jesus and observed Him. - examine Revelation , chapters 21 & 22, all you're able to desire to renowned is there.

If you want a good God, accept Christ. Outside of Christ, God has horns.

The only thing that will appease Him, is a restoration back to the former...which is why a second Adam was sent...that is Jesus.

God is angry with mankind but tolerates it till the thing is done. As each day passes, we progress toward the end of it. And know this, hell is not only real, God have every intention of sending the bulk of humanity there. Those who deny hell exists are the ones that go there!!

what is it with you and killing? we are as God has made us. for sure there are people who believe that they would kill for God, but it's a moot point to claim what we have never faced. but for those of us who are not hardcore, does that mean we don't believe or our faith is lacking? of course not...

i don't know if God would ask me to kill in His name, but i know that the person i am today could not do it. God would have to give me His power and strength to do something like that for any reason - and i would have to assume that He would.

so the answer from me, is NO for most of your questions. (I can't speak for others)

but i still choose God over humanity because He is the only one who can save us from our humanity or lack thereof...

God loves those who trust Him. You can say that He doesn't love those who don't trust Him. You think humanity means that not killing is the only choice? There are people who kill when less than God tells them to, so I will tell you that I would kill. I would try to kill better than anyone ever has in the history of the world if God told me to.

There, are you satisfied? I don't care what you think and I'm telling you that if God told me to kill I would kill really good.

By asking that question you've revealed that you don't know God. You think that God cares about what you think when you don't trust Him?

If you want to know about people who are actually fooling themselves into killing for God, ask the Muslims, apparently God tells them to fail at killing a lot of people.

as a Christian, we believe that Human life should NOT be taken by a Human being, God is the shot-caller here, we are just below him and besides Human beings are equal

Humanity is very important to me because as humans it is up to us to take responsibility for our actions as well as to rely on each other to make this world a better place to live. People have been praying to god for world peace, cure for diseases, end to world hunger for many years and did god answer any of those prayers? No he has not, despite what people claim. Therefore as I said, humanity is important and we need to depend on each other to make this world a better place.

Humanity is more important, than any fairy tale, that humans can make up.

I would never kill for any belief, religious or otherwise.

I would however, die for my beliefs.

Hey, but I'm just an amoral atheist.
