accidents or other things that cause death as God's will. Can Some one please explain?
It really does not make any sense to me that people say things such as "it was God's will" or "why God?" when people lose a loved one. I can not understand how people say that we have free will, but then do not accept it. If I chose to go swimming in the Zambezi River there is a good chance that I will be eaten by a crocodile. If I jump out of an airplane without a parachute I will die on impact when I hit the ground. If I decide to drive to the grocery store and get hit by a person that ran a red light and die how is God responsible? I even have the ability to take medicine to kill bacteria and infections that would have killed me had I not taken it. So do believers actually not believe in free will? If they do why do they not realize that we are the ones responsible and not God? People are always at risk of death, but we can put ourselves in situations where we are more vulnerable to it.

When I asked this question previously I received replies like this.
"God has a plan for everyone and everyTHING.
I am a Christian, but I know that , yes, we do have free will. But everything is planned out by Him. Ya know, like if u wanna eat a banana, but decide to eat an apple instead. God knew what u were going to choose way before u even went to the store the week before, to BUY it. LOL. Do u get what I'm saying"
So if God does know what we are going to do what is the purpose of life? He knows our actions whether we will be good or bad before we even know, so why not just send us to Heaven or Hell? If he has a plan for us how is that free will?
I am just really confused and I am trying to understand this. I would really appreciate answers that do not contradict one another.

Because it is easier than blaming the person or persons that did it.

well most of that isn't God's will. you choose to eat a bag of chips instead of an apple it's your choice. but there are some cases where it is God's will. for example, if God knows you need a wake up call, he will send you one. someone i know was driving on the highway at 70 mph, and something happened that made him go across to the other lane. therefore, he should've been killed by a 140 mph collision. but instead he was thrown to the grass while his bug car was pummeled to "death." he realized he had to do more with his life than he already was.
God does not send us to heaven or hell because we would not have choice in what we do. He knows what's going to happen but he does not necessarily always control it. We have choice, despite his knowing.

By and large, God left man at the mercy of his own sin and the natural forces of the world ver since Adam disobeyed Him.
That's why He tells us:
Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Now in a very real sense, that physical and spiritual LAW is God at work in our lives. Thus the confusion.
God is hard to understand, eh?

I am a believer and I do not believe that "accidents and other things that cause death" are all God's will.
Many such cases, as you clearly demonstrated are simply a result of our free will.
I find it insulting when people tell me that my brother's death was simply God's will.
***UPDATE***
I also do not believe that God knows every little detail of our futures. I believe God as the ability to know everything. Yet God limits himself in that ability in order to give us free will. I also firmly believe that in certain instances God does look ahead into our lives and gets involved to prepare us or others for that situation or open or close certain doors. Yet its still our choice if we will go through that "open door."
Am I making sense? For more questions email me. I would be glad to have a dialog with you.

Jesus did no longer would desire to speak of this style of ingredient. It became into of course understood that all and sundry gay persons are given over for destruction, as suggested interior the previous testomony. So why could Christ tackle that which would be accomplished. the unhappy actuality is that's a guy or woman is reformed and actually repentant ( meaning they have became from there existence style and characteristic became to Christ) , then they certainly could have leave that way of existence. Or that's in basic terms warm air. and an excellent kind of think of they are in a position to stay as they are and recieved the present of salvation. Salvation demands a metamorphosis of heart and documents. some are saved who turn from there sin, yet many are lost.

I don't believe accidents were God's will. We need to accept the fact that there is sin in the world. The wages of sin is death, according to God's word. That means, there's going to be a lot of bad things that happen to good people, just because we live in a fallen world. Many times it happens because of our poor choices. Sometimes it happens because of someone else's poor choices. God had nothing to do with making those choices. He gives us good advice on how to avoid a lot of costly mistakes, but if we choose to ignore it, then we reap the consequences of our actions. But God is not some abusive father, sending his kid to play in the street. Just like us, we want the best for our kids, but if they disobey, or if someone else hurts them, it was never our will for them to get hurt. That's the price of a sinful, fallen world.

There's a book you might enjoy reading for an entirely different approach to your question. It's called "Disappearance of the Universe" by Gary Renard. Probably in your local library system, but if not, it's worth buying just for the new perspective you'll get. It's gonna turn your thinking inside out, which is fun, even if you decide not to accept what it says as a spiritual path.
you won't find anyone answering your question on YA the way these questions get answered in that book. It's REAL different.

Accidents, natural disaster, death and everything else that happens is part of life. Stating god's will is an attempt (poor attempt if you ask me) at trying to comfort people who question why god would allow this to happen. I have heard its part of gods plan. So when I asked that person how do you know it is part of gods plan? I got no reply.
Free will can not co-exist with gods will.

It makes more sense for people who believe in god to accept that he does not interfere in human affairs. Otherwise people would have to accept that he does not care about them.
I think it is appalling when someone says it was through the miracle of god that they did something and yet 6 million people were killed in the holocaust. Where was god then? If some are blessed then clearly very clearly some are not. I refuse to believe in that.

I am a born again Christian who has given my life to Jesus Christ. Therefore I believe that nothing that happens to me is coincidence or accident, but God allows it to happen for His purposes.
If a person is not a believer, I would never tell them, oh so and so died because it's God's will. I think that is a callous thing to say.

you want an honest answer? here it is........we don't understand Gods ways.......why do some live to be old and some make it a few days? we don't know.....All I know is we have a time to live and a time to die......thats the reallity of life.......Like a flower here today gone tomorrow....We have all been appointed so much time and thats it.......Thats why its so important to believe in God and to trust Him....I don't worry about how much time I have left. I try and live life to the fullest and make a difference in peoples lives.....even if its just a smile to someone....
I know who I was before I gave my life to Jesus.....and I know who I am now........I am a totally different person. These changes I can not do on my own and even if I did they wouldn't of lasted......People who knew me before couldn't believe I was the same person....
