A local man is about to be charged with murdering his two Children. During a scheduled visitation he allegedly killed his two kids to get back at the mom. As a christian I am to forgive and not to judge. And should he repent, and accept salvation, he will go to heaven. I have a hard time with this, can you offer me some words/scripture to help me cope, as my intial reaction is one of anger.

ANother Strong Earthquake has Hit the 5th one..
What do you think this meanis if anything?
Seeing the powerful earthquakes such as the December 26th, 2004 event that triggered the tsunami disaster, people are looking for possible causes for the apparent instability of earth's crust. "End-times" alarmists and backyard researchers believe that the predicted imminent reversal of the earth's magnetic field may be a significant clue to these eschatological-scale events.

Scientists have been observing changes in the direction of earth's magnetic field which took place recently as well as in the distant past. NASA’s website features a map showing the gradual northward migration of the north magnetic pole in the past century and a half.
Possible energy ramifications of diminishing magnetic field. How long will it linger at zero before reversing? Written 2/2005

I look forward to having the animals roaming around free, being able to pet lions and other big cats. And I hope that I'll be able to learn to scuba dive so that I can study the sea life.

Matt 26:35

Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.

And what do you think of these verses?

Matt 5:34-37

But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:
Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

I just read a question about some guy named Criss Angel, and then I looked him up. He walks on water! Seriously, just look him up and you can watch him walk on water! I think he really might be the messiah that was prophesied!

...then can anyone explain to me why God only delivered his message to a small community of goat herding nomads, rather than to the rest of the world?

Seriously - if God's message was so important and needed to be heard and followed, then why wasnt that message delivered to China at the same time? Why did it take 1600 years to reach the Americas? Does God simply have little compassion in his heart for Asians and Native Americans, and could have cared less when they received his message?

God allegedly created this earth and everything upon it. Was he not aware of those continents and the fact that his creation was living there? Why was one small area given his message and asked to spread it across the globe, when they didnt even know the globe existed at that time?

Any serious responses to this?

AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) is a spiritually based treatment program. It requires acknowledgement of a "higher power" however you concieve it to be. But, it requires that acknowledgement...

Do you believe it is fair for the court system to mandate a treatment program that is faith based?

Should a secular treatment program be mandated instead, for those in need of treatment who are not religious or spiritual??

I often tell people that everybody has a different list of characteristics and even personality traits for god.
The only way that a group of people can agree is putting them all in the same room and someone talking about it from a pulpit of authority.
Saying that god manifests himself in people's minds in different ways is pretty much the same as saying that he's a creation of the mind of individuals.

And they come back with "Manifesting itself in different ways is exactly what I would expect of god. It just shows how great he is."

It annoys mee to no end.
It's grabbing what I say and turning it around in a such a way that they end up 'winning'.
And I can tell that their objective is to 'win' when I talk with them.

What do you say to these people?

The Watchtower, April 15, 1928

"Sometimes a member of a class will refuse to engage in the canvassing for the books because there are some mistakes in the books, and says his conscience will not permit him to put books in which there are mistakes into the hands of the people. Of course this is another method that the enemy adopts to confuse the minds and furnish an excuse for not being faithful to the Lord. As every one knows, there are mistakes in the Bible and there has never been a book written yet that is perfect that has been written by any human hand."

Or has new light prevailed

Thanks

1. All religions teach different thing (either christ is the savior or he isn't, the prophet Mo' is the last prophet or he is not)

2. Since all religions teach different things, they can't all be true.

3. If they can't all be true, then either;
A) One is right and all others are wrong.
B) They are all false (as in mythology)

4. If one religion is right and all others are wrong, then why is that not obvious to everyone. Wouldn't a TRUE religion have a great advantage of false religions (say the answering of prayers for example)

5. Therefore, if you cannot offer a really good argument as to why your religion contains a sacred truth that other religions do not have access too, or you admit that religion is just a modern form of mythology.

Can you do it? Can you prove that your religion is real? Why not?

If they just admit they believe in three seperate entities or parts of God (like the Hindus) then it all makes perfect sense.

To my fellow Christians:
As a Christian and I believe as the nature of being a human being in the western world we like issues to be black and white. The two headline issues that many Christians make black and white is abortion and homosexuality. Through various media Christians express how aborition is wrong and homosexuality is wrong, no question about it. Is there really no question about it? I believe both these issues have some gray areas. For this question I want to focus on Homosexuality.

Do you believe that homosexuality is "acceptable" in people with Gender Identity Disorder? To make it even more gray let's say people that have had clear evidence of this disorder since a very young age.

Gender Identity Disorder is a psychological disorder in which a child is born biologically one sex yet identitfies him or herself with the opposite sex.

MORE DETAILS TO COME.
