If these people are Christian's and manipulate other people to constantly attack another Christian group by bullying, causing strife, being spiteful...well you get the picture. Can it be a demon is having this "supposedly Çhristian's" act like that? If they continue in their ways can that control become stronger? What are the danger's?

First she has Cain and it says she had intercourse. Then she denies having sex and says that "God did it". Is that where Mary got her idea's.
That is a nowhere excuse. I think the angel that told Mary that holy spirit did it was the culprit. What was his name? It makes more sense that way.

If your christian, odds are you wear a cross to broadcast to the world how christian you are. You were taught from a kid to wear this on your neck.......

Yours is probably silver with a cross on it; a lower case t, if you will.

It may look pretty, but if you know anything about history, you know the t shape was actually a T shape. In other words, jesus died on a T, not a cross.

So, my question:
Why do you wear crosses on your neck? It obviously does not reflect the crucifixion whatsoever. What value do you hold your crosses at, as jesus was most likely killed on a T shaped fixture.

God got Mary pregnant and broke many sins to do so.

I'm not sure if he asked, but if he didn't, is that not rape? If he did ask, then scratch this.

Was God Married to Mary? Isn't having a baby and sleeping with others when you're not married a sin?

Is God more of a "do what I say" type God versus "Do what I do, do what I say" type style?

Whether or not they are parody religions, things like the IUP and the FSM baffle me. It seems a cry out for God but you are so rebellious you invent you're own god to worship. Why?

Or any alcohol for that matter? I'm not of drinking age yet, got about 3.5 years left, but ever since I was small, it's been like complete taboo to hear Christians and wine in the same sentence. My parents and I have to come to joke about it lately. I was wondering for when I did get of age. I've never seen a problem with it and don't see in the Bible where it's a sin. I do know that it says for bishops and deacons to be sober and not given to strong drink. I know that you shouldn't get drunk wherein is excess. (I'm not trying to get drunk.) Paul told Timothy to drink a little wine for the stomach's sake and no more drink water.

So, is it wrong? For example, if I'm at a nice restaurant with a nice meal, is it wrong to get a glass of wine or at a friend's wedding, something like champagne? Just wondering what you think!

why does the bible contradict itself?
How many pairs of animals were taken by noah on the ark gen 6-19 gen 7-2. Why does all the accounts of jesus's crusifiction differ and why did jesus heal on a sabath the day made holy by god and god comanded not to do regular work on (and as he was a healer that healing would be regular work).
Can you please say what faith so I can see the differences in views.
oh and i need some hugs as i'm knackered

Countless times I have asked (not just on Answers) why some Christians are very rude to me, or say things like . I get the reply . These people claim to be.

How do YOU determine who is a true christian and who isn't?

I got only one answer to my question. Usually one gets 20 to 30 answers in the religious forum. Are the readers in this forum so shocked by the thought that Jesus and his disciples were Jewish, that they can not even comment?

Hi, I was wondering how the church helps people in our society, or to be more specific how they can help a couple with marriage problems.

Hope you can help :)

Thanks

I see Christians claiming certain passages are metaphorical even though assuming a literal interpretation makes more sense. For example, in Exodus the most obvious reading implies that God thinks there are multiple gods but that you should worship him above the others. He gives no indication that the other gods are not real. Nowhere does he state that the other gods don't exist. Why would God be confusing on this point? It seems much more likely the writers meant this to be taken literally. If it was meant to be taken metaphorically it would have been more obvious.

"I am The Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before Me." (Exodus 20:2-3 KJV)

I'm really blessed to live in a place where I can hear, "Waking Up with Whoopi", on the radio in the morning.

This woman is amazing.

Today, it suddenly dawned on me, she uses the word "Fantastic" all the time.

I had to ask myself, "When was the last time I used that word to describe something in my life?"

Love to hear about yours.

I mean the actual parchments that the original authors actually wrote on when they first wrote down each book of the Bible. Then we could check our modern copies against the originals to make sure they were accurate! As it is, there are numerous versions of the Bible in print (King James, the Living Bible, Catholic Bible, New American Version, etc. etc...) Christians themselves say that some of these versions distort the meaning of the original, so why didn't God save the original so we could check, the same way that Congress preserved the original copy of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution under glass?

I ask this because I do believe the following statement is true:
No person benefits economically from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the 8 to 20 men who serve on their Governing Body receive simply room, board, medical care, and reimbursement for certain personal expenses according to the exact same provision as every other branch volunteer.

With the Exception I do not Believe : NO PERSON

ex A according to the return filed with Revenue Canada 2006
which contains the following informaition
Total assets (add lines 4100 to 4170) 4200 $ 91,819,209
Total liabilities 4350 $ 30,971,117

Total revenue 4700 $ 34,132,438
Total expenditures (add lines 4950, 5050, 5060 and 5070) 5100 $ 30,375,855

that leaves a 2006 Profit of roughly $4 M I know the numbers in the US are significantly higher

Since JW do no "works" outside of their organization

What is the money for ?
