So you have this god that you claim is all-knowing right? You go to church every Sunday and probably every other day throughout the week. You need a miracle to overcome your cancer so you pray to god (as if he doesn't already know you need to be cured) for help in overcoming this cancer right? WHY? Isn't it enough for you to go to church every day? Isn't it enough for you to pay your offerings (I mean preacher) and tithes (I mean the rest of the preachers staff)?? And while I'm on the subject, do you think that if you food was somehow poisoned or whatever before you said grace over the food that it would than afterwards not be poisoned anymore?

A couple days ago a minister in training said his co-emcee (i was at a church concert) was supposed to be there but said he couldn't. So he prayed to god for him to find him a way there. Didn't god already know that he had to be there, why did he have to pray for him to get there? Seriously people, wake up.

If omnipresent means omnipresent, then the threat of a hell defined as eternal separation from said god is impossible.

Also, it is impossible for an omnipresent god to NOT be in someone's heart....or for it to not be in someone's life.

If you believe in an omnipresent god which must enter someone's heart, or believe in an omnipresent god with a hell, or believe that atheists don't have your god in them, could you explain this, if you feel inclined?

I'm neither an atheist nor a Christian, just curious.

Every religion has some strong points. Based on YOUR EXPERIENCE, what are some of good things that you like about Christianity or Christians that we Muslims can learn from?

There are so many things in this world that are proven to be totally chaotic and random or thatsound very unlikely, yet result in real, very ordered and beautiful outcomes. How can people see those, and not see that randomness is not abhorrent or destructive?
You want examples? OK...try these:
1. Snowflakes. These are chaotic...that's why you can never find two identical flakes (since the starting conditions are random for each flake). Yet; due to some very simple physical rules they all end up looking like snowflakes, and they're all beautiful.
2. The lottery. If the odds are a billion to one against, most religious people would say "You'd need a miracle to win - god would have to be involved somewhere".
I would say. "All you'd need for this to happen is a billion people...hardly a miracle".
The same with the universe. It can easily have been shaped through entirely random events..which may be incredibly unlikely to happen, but have had trillions of trillions of years to happen!

...debating his existence and saying Jesus is coming. It's such a waste of time to keep trying to force your views on others. Let people make their own mind up.

beta_fishy
Remember that when Adam and Eve unleashed sin and death into the world, they also allowed all of us to live on this Earth. Without that act, we could not gain bodies, learn and grow, and return to our Heavenly Father and become like Him.

We hope to become like our Heavenly Father and to inherit all that He has, as the scriptures promise.
Source(s):

The above was posted on answers a few minutes ago. What is said here is completely blasphemous. beta_fishy is saying the plan was for Adam and Eve to sin and take the fruit. That is so wrong and the Bible teaches no such thing and neither does the Book of Mormon. That is probably in your Pearl of great Price or Doctrine of Covenants. D of C was written by J Smith and other men. Don't go and preach that all the books complement each other because they clearly don't.

We all know that our universe is so expansive that we haven't even scratched the surface of what has yet to be discovered.

For lack of a better word, my "beef" with atheists is that despite knowing that there's simply a lot that we don't know, how are they so quick to discount the existence of God?

Lee Strobel wrote a book called The Case for Christ that if you're willing, I hope you'll at least pick up and glance at.

A lot of the questions and answers I've seen in this section are dealt with in that book as well.

So if we're so hungry to learn more about our universe, if you can take a few hours and focus that energy on learning more about why so many millions of intelligent people believe in God, won't you at least be doing yourself a favor? By doing so, you can either be more sure of your own beliefs, or at least open your mind to the possibility that God exists.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to indulge me and my questions and given a response.

Do you think that God causes the disaster? Or is it just a result of man's decisions with free will? Or do you think it's satan causing the disaster? Please state your beliefs and why you believe this. thanks!

If you are not a Christian, it doesn't matter how good you are, you will burn in Hell forever when you die.

Luckily though, this rule is fair and logical because Christianity has been scientifically proven to be true years ago.

There is a mountain of scientific evidence. EVERY SINGLE claim Christians make can be verified by testing it out.

The claim that over forty studies were done on prayer and over 90% of the studies showed that prayer had NO effect whatsover is a lie.

Everything Christainity claims has been backed up by science.

Agree?

hi guys, as mormons you are told that you will become God's yourselves.

But ummm, isn't this exactly what Adam and eve were told.
Eve ate the apple beleiving she will become a God herself, and could then decide for herself what is good and bad

Since this beleif led to adam unleashing sin and death onto the world, and since no one can beocme God as the job is already taken

Waht is it mormons hope to become, or whats the ponit of following mormonism?
as it seems to be the first religeon adam adopted after he followed the actions of eve, and look where that led them, in fact look where it led the rest of us

Mormons your thoughts please:

I have scoured the internet, trying to find out more about Wicca, but all I see is garbage, garbage, garbage ! ! ! I see pics of people who call themselves reverends, yet have alters with Egyptian gods and Wiccan items on them (The two things DO NOT go together). I see men going by the name of Azeal, which is a FEMALE deity, whom causes harm and would be considered generally "evil". Wicca is not an evil religion, yet people call themselves "Wiccan", yet do not have a clue what it is all about ! ! ! I am beginning to think that most Wiccans are just people looking for an identity, not a true purpose in life, and that quite frankly, makes me sick to my stomach !!! Does ANYONE know of a decent website to obtain more information on Wicca, and possibly any covents in or near the Detroit, Michigan area??? Please help, I dislike fake people, and thats ALL I can seem to find on the sites I have visited !!

Why do you have to go through the temple? Why do you have to approach the curtain and put your hands through? When Jesus died the curtain was torn in two. Who do you have to wear a vest under your garments? Why do you have to swear that you will never reveal what happens in the temple. If they are sacred then they are to be shared. See the Old Testament. The Temple was for anybody that approached and was to be shared will everyone and talked about. even if they were gentiles. A secret is different from something that is sacred. How come the Mormon law says that you can marry more than one wife? Isn't this degrading to women? Also why don't you marry more than one woman now? If the world says its illegal should you listen to them? I thought God's Laws where higher. Or is that Joseph Smiths law's which is very, very different?

I heard multiple Christians give this argument just a few moments ago.

One Christian even had the nerve to compare non-Christians to drug dealers. Non-Christians of course consist of 66% of the world's population (Jews, Hindus, Muslims, atheists, agnostics, etc).

They said that non-Christians are just like people who sell drugs and get arrested. They send themselves to jail.

This is flawless logic. Agree?
