No, we are allowed to marry, it says so in the bible. However, some people do decide to become a nun as they feel it will bring them closer to God

In 1 Corn 7:27-(the end of that chapter) it talks about how it's better to remain unmarried, etc. I think the Catholic church probably came up with the nun idea from this passage of scripture. I think God may call some people to be "like a nun" in their lifestyle but whether he meant for them to become a nun in Catholic format I do not know. Whoever does what they do, they do it unto the Lord and have to answer to him.

No. Nuns choose to separate themselves as such for the sake of keeping themselves pure before God in body and spirit. And that they may "tend upon the things of God without distraction"... the dividing of our attention and responsibilities that comes with having a husband.

Have you seen any miracles happen lately? Have you seen god? I doubt he ever said anything...

And religion as we know it in an invention of the human being.

GET REAL! Stop living in a fantasy world!

Becoming a nun may be an interesting social experiment, but it's highly unlikely that it actually gets you anywhere more near to god.

It's about how good you are as a person what matters...

Yes, God calls some people to serve Him in special ways, dedicating their entire lives to His service. Nuns are called in this way, as are Brothers (the male equivalent of nuns) and priests. 2,000 years ago Jesus called twelve men to exclusive service in His name. He continues to do so today.

Nuns are not biblical. they are not mentioned anywhere in the scriptures. they are part of the catholic belief though which makes sense b/c we all know that most of what they teach is false.

No he doesn't. Nuns are Catholic, and a lot of the Catholic church's practices are unbiblical.

No.

Remember, “god” is nothing more than a nonsense word created by man to explain away all of the things we can’t yet understand.
