I heard multiple Christians give this argument just a few moments ago.
One Christian even had the nerve to compare non-Christians to drug dealers. Non-Christians of course consist of 66% of the world's population (Jews, Hindus, Muslims, atheists, agnostics, etc).
They said that non-Christians are just like people who sell drugs and get arrested. They send themselves to jail.
This is flawless logic. Agree?

Complete and utter nonsense.
That notion only works if Hell is somehow outside of Joe Hovah's control; which doesn't really jibe with the fact that HE MADE THE DAMN THING!

I don't know about the drug dealer part, but as for this:
God does NOT send non-Christians to Hell. They send THEMSELVES
I do agree. Everyone has committed some sin in their life, according to God's commandments. Therefore, the punishment is hell. God has offered everyone the chance to repent and spend eternity with Him. If a person chooses not to accept that, then it is up to the person.
Should this be a scare tactic? Not at all. A person should make the decision because they see their need for God and WANT to spend eternity with Him. If you don't want anything to do with God throughout your life, wouldn't heaven really be hell for you?

As a matter of fact I do agree. You make a decision in this life to love God or to hate him. Jesus said "if you're not for me, you're against me". When you die, your final decision carries over into eternity. If you loved God, you'll be with him forever. If you hated him, you'll be apart from him forever. Hell is just a fancy word for the absence of God, and since God is not there, hell is a place where all forms of pleasure and comfort are absent.

"Non-Christian" doesn't necessarily imply Jew, Hindu, Muslim and etc.....If you're a sinner against your faith, you send yourself to Hell. If you sin in the Hindu faith, where do you end up? In their version of Hell, I suppose..... I would say it's the same in ANY faith. Commit this sin or that one, stand UNREPENTANT of it and spend an eternity in some sort of punishment by your own design written by your own disobedience.

i dont think anyone is implying a non christian is a drug dealer..... do you not think that people who sell drugs send them self to jail?? if they dont send them selves, then who sends them?? i know the police physically send them, but they didnt make him sell drugs. it is just an aide to help people understand that people bring the consequences of not following GOD, on thierself.
and cindy... no one here has said anyone is goin to hell... im sure ppl have said that on here before, but it doesnt pertain to thi question.
and how would you know what a true christian is, anyway?? youre not one,and you dont claim to be one, so how would you know?

Those who end up in hell have chosen to be there. This includes some non-Christians and some Christians.

I don't think it was worded that way. Rejecting Jesus is far more straightforward than being a drug dealer or going to Jail for it.

So many Christians that do not know our heavenly Father who loves so much. His will is that all men be with him. Their will be many muslims in heaven before many christians only because they are serious about their faith in God.

Does it really matter? They are the only people that believe in hell, so I don't really care if they think I am going to an imaginary place. It would be like me telling them they are going to spend eternity in OZ.
