I have been called an idiot, or told that I was ignorant for asking questions about how God can possibly exist. I have been told that Atheism is foolish, and had scriptures quoted to me about how "supposed knowledge" is false, blah blah. The dilema here is, should you answer my questions or not?

PRO 26:4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.

PRO 26:5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

Wow, there are many Biblical contradictions, but to have 2 verses back-to-back that go against each other, now that is just careless on the part of the Biblical authors.

You might argue that an Atheist would not be considered "a fool". Okay, I can see that maybe. How would you address this contradiction then if applied to someone else?

i just asked a question pertaining to application of evolution in medicine. i was hit with a few responses that said evolution had nothing to do with medicine to which i posted the following article that explained how the theory of evolution has aided scientists in developing treatments for many diseases.

http://evolution.berkeley.edu/evolibrary/article/0_0_0/medicine_01

i'm curious, did any of you doubting thomases out there bother to read it, or are you still convinced evolution is a lie, and that it plays no role in medicine?

And for that matter just as easily as God cannot be proven by much physical evidence, neither can evolution, scientology, or atheism be disproven either. That is why ultimately you have to seek the truth, and let God prove to you he exists, and if you are seriously seeking the truth and not neccessaily to disprove him, he definitely will. Many people just don't want to find God because then they would have to either chose him or chose death and its easier just to not choose.

Then why is that my fault? Especially if its in my nature to sin. Its like setting humans up to lose- fixing the odds against them. No matter what we are doomed to failure and made to need a God. Thats not free will as free will is defined by Christians. But its not even about free will. I am, by nature, a sinner, right? So why would I deserve hell for something I cannot change or deny, that is ultimately a part of my very being?

I can understand why some people have things against god but why Jesus? he died for us and suffered.

god is the one who wants us to worship him every sunday and who killed lots of people during the flood and who didnt want Adam and Eve to know the difference between good and evil.

So what do people have against Jesus?

It is written (Leviticus 17:11):
For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one's life.

Now, this written in the context of forbidding you to eat blood...

BUT, the reasoning given behind this commandment by God concerns the importance of blood, which (via animal sacrifices) was the way in which you atoned for your sins...

In other words, because of your sin, God could not allow you to be near Him (because He is sinless). And since sin leads to death, or bloodshed, God required a "sacrifice" on your behalf of your personal sins in order to be forgiven and "atone" for your sins...so you could draw near to God, yet again.

But as I understand it, you now celebrate atonement on Yom Kippur...and you do this through fasting and prayer...

However, there is no blood shed to atone for your sins!

So...how are you atoning for your sins...without bloodshed?

When I asked this question, I received two types of answers. The first was that God does not prove he exists because he requires faith. The second was that proof of God was everywhere.

Which of these do you believe and why do you believe the other is wrong?

Prominent creation scientist Em Adjineri has successfully disproved the theory of evolution with her countless Em Adjineri arguments. Isn't it about time for Creationists to move on to other sciences that conflict with the Bible?

For example, the Theory of Gravity says that things fall to Earth because of its mass. That's ridiculous! How do they know to fall down without intelligence? Objects must have some sort of intelligence that tells them to fall!

The Theory of Intelligent Falling tells us that objects are attracted to one another because God created them, and so they all have a small quantity of "Godliness," which is directly proportional to their mass.

Objects recognize this Godliness in one another, and are therefore attracted to each other. Things fall on earth because they are equipped with the intelligence to recognize the Godliness of Earth's iron core.

Let's start teaching Intelligent Falling in schools! The gravitationalists can't disprove it!

Let's start with a topic of debate that is a R&S regular. Do we think that wisdom is bad or good? Here are some Bible verses that contradict themselves on this topic:

PRO 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

ECC 1:18 For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.

1 Cor.1:19: "For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and wil bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent."

How about this: What did Jesus say before he died?

Matt.27:46,50: ... "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" ...Jesus, when he cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost."

Luke23:46: "And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, "Father, unto thy hands I commend my spirit:" and having said thus, he gave up the ghost."

John19:30: "When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, "It is finished:" and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost."

Do Christians want him?
I have heard two different people today (I live in Atlanta) say that he would not be welcome in their church - not very forgiving is it?
And why do people tend to find Jesus just after being arrested - does he put up fliers in the bail bond office?
