I am AMAZED at the diversity of answers. Think about it....the answers ran the spectrum from Catholicism to Paganism.

The religion I am thinking of is, of course, Voodoo. Funny how similar to other religions, huh?

Isn't this one more reason that we should all be opening our minds and exploring the other beliefs that are out there? With so much the same, why do people see Voodooists or Pagans or Wiccans as so different? I would take a gander and say FEAR.

someone is cured of a disease, god cured them
someone gets rescued, god saved them
someone was located in a forest or mountain, god located them

what about the people who werent religious who were cured of a disease? Or the ones who arent religious who were rescued, or found, located? What about the religious who were prayed for and DID die of a disease, or werent rescued or found? Why are things completely unrelated attributed to god? Especially when people who dont "know god" experience the exact same things as those who do? Why would one be attributed to god, and one not? One patient was cured by god, one was cured by science and medicine? If the religious person had never been to a doctor, would they still have been cured, because if god is the one who saved them, then there should have been no need for medicine or science to begin with.

That is how true Christians see "conversion" They aren't trying to "convert" anyone I guess that is a side product or what not, but we actually see it more as saving your spiritual life from hell which we do believe exists. That being said their are a lot of fake, hypocritical Christians and they will face God and be judged just like they judge other with their self-righteous attitudes because they repel more people from Christ than they actually "save"

God does not even know how he came to be, isnt that why god took energy and made matter, then God created humans in Gods own image. In my opinion God is trying to figure out where HE came from by creating earth and Humans to see if humans evolve into WHAT HE IS? What is your thoughts on this theory. Do you believe? Truelly?

The story goes: A man goes into a barbershop to get his hair cut and beard trimmed. They start talking about many things and the customer says "Do you belive in God?" The man says "No I don't believe in him. If he existed there wouldn't be so much pain and suffering in the world." The customer was hurt and didn't say anything for a while. Then a man is outside with long dirty unkept hair walked by and sat outside. The customer saw him and said " You know I don't belive that barbers exists" The barber said "What? Are you crazy? W?hat are you talking about I just did your hair!" The man says "I don't believ ethat they do. if they did there wouldn't be people like that man outside in the streets with unkept hair." The barber said. "Thats stupid, the problem is that people like that don't come to me."
"Thats just it" the customer said. "God exists too the problem is that people don't come to him or look for him. Thats why there is so much pain suffering in the world."

In John 6, Jesus said, "‘I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live for ever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh.’ The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, ‘How can this man give us his flesh to eat?’" (John 6:51–52).

Jesus again repeated his words, but with even greater emphasis, and introduced the statement about drinking his blood: "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him" (John 6:53–56).

or inter-faith relationships would work? I'm not talking Lutheran-and-Catholic, or Asatru-and-Wiccan, I'm talking more along the lines of extreme differences.

Just curiousity for my part.

Doctors agree-- it's easy to clean and cutting the foreskin off causes more harm than good. It's not for cleanliness, this is dangerous and causes lots of problems down the line. It even causes more infections than it prevents. So why do people keep mutilating their babies and thinking that it's okay?

Religion is very important to my family. Mum and dad always taught me to belive in God, and Jesus…but like I am older I started to go out, in a disco and so…And it wouldn't be a problem if I always make out with 3 different boys at the same evening, but then i feel so relaxing so happy, you know, like "somebody likes me, because he dance with me". But when I come home and think about it I feel so wrong for that. Instead that I had fun I felt so cheap and against my religion. I mean it's not so big sin, but when I'm with all people who belive in God I want to be just like them, but when I am at the disco, I want to be a *****, literally... I don't know who I am and who I want to be?...

Ok...this is a follow up of a question...

Someone said that a church I wanted to start...christianity + science(basically) sounds like Catholicism...

I looked into Catholicism for 2 years and in no time I was reading, going to mass, talking to the priest, did anyone say ANYTHING about evoultion, big bang, etc...I don't see how it's anything alike...

Why do people associate Catholicism as having a lot to do with science?

1 Timothy 6:1-2 Christians who are slaves should give their masters full respect so that the name of God and his teaching will not be shamed. If your master is a Christian, that is no excuse for being disrespectful. You should work all the harder because you are helping another believer by your efforts. Teach these truths, Timothy, and encourage everyone to obey them.

Seems like he could.
