Doctors agree-- it's easy to clean and cutting the foreskin off causes more harm than good. It's not for cleanliness, this is dangerous and causes lots of problems down the line. It even causes more infections than it prevents. So why do people keep mutilating their babies and thinking that it's okay?

Good site...looking at the problems, pain, and sometimes death it causes-- I would never do that to my kids. Not to mention...circumcision takes away the spot that is the most sensative during sex...that would be bad. It's the EXACT thing as FGM, there is no difference.

Actually, the medical community is divided about this procedure, as well.

It is not medically necessary, as was once thought long ago. It is customary in our culture, but is falling out of favor. There is talk of circumcision interfering with sexual pleasure in adult life, but that is not proven.

It is not dangerous, nor is it a cause for infections, unless you are referring to immediately after the procedure. Any break in the skin is more easily infected than skin that is whole.

My son was not circumcised when he was born 25 years ago, and he is fine. My parents had it done to me when I was born more than 50 years ago and I am fine.

Actually doctors are still split on the idea of circumcision, some think it's unnecessary, others that it decreases risk of infection and increases cleanliness.
The infection risk is only there until it's healed, same as with any cut. Afterwards it's the same as uncut.
If it's done wrong it can cause problems down the line, there's no doubt, but there isn't definitive evidence about sexual pleasure and performance, and the majority of men who've had it done don't complain, if they did I suspect it would be a lot less common.

LOL and ouch....
can i have my foreskin back ... if I agree with you....

Problem is... How can one know if it inteferes with pleasures.... Guess you could test a non-circumcised male.... then circumcise him and ask if it felt worse or better... otherwise, it just an opinion if it feels different...

You know if a guy says anything about pregnancy or menstruation he his looked at by women as if he dose not know what he is talking about.

So I ask you do you know what your talking about?

I was circumcised as a child and I am happy my parents did it. It has never caused me any problems in my life, nor do I know anyone who has had problems because of it.

If you dont want to circumcise your kid that is something between you and your husband, but dont tell others what they can and cannot do in this matter.

I had a friend who was circumcized, it grew back, and he decided to do it again, because he liked it better that way. It was easier to clean.
Mothers can say all they want, but taking it from this guy is taking it from the source.

They are brainwashed by religion. You don't have to realise you are brainwashed to be brainwashed - in fact, realising you were brainwashed would nullify said brainwashing.

To the person above me who said sex with a circumsised man is better - you are full of s*it. Once it is erect, they look the same.

I work in a nursing home and have seen with my own peepers the mess an unkept, uncircumsized penis can become, maybe not until a male can't take care of himself and his parts is this an issue for him. It is a horrible place to have an infection though. Horrible.
