No, not on your mother's surplus prayers. No magical # of prayers can get you to heaven.

Jesus said that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No can get to the Father except through Me. Repent! If your receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord then you will be saved. Jesus did die for the penalties of your sins, which is eternal separation from Him and death. If you ask Him to come into your life then He will save you from the consequences of your sins. After this you will need to live your life according to His will. He should reign and rule on the throne of your life instead of you. You will know how this is so by studying your Bible daily, praying, going to a Biblically-based church to praise and worship the Lord, fellowship with other believers and learn from the Word.

Very interesting. Today is the feast day (official celebration / recognition day) of St. Augustine. Yesterday was the feast day of his mother, St. Monica.

St. Augustine was a terrible sinner, given to the ways of the flesh. He coined the prayer 'God make me holy, just not yet'. He was born to a devout mother and she was horrified that he wasn't a believer in anything but his own fun.

For 30 years she prayed. Finally, he had a change of heart, entered the Church, became a Bishop and one of the theological Doctors of the Church. (There are only 33 Doctors - 4 of them women in the Catholic Faith.)

We believe that she helped pray him into Heaven, and he shows that an immoral person has the seeds of God's greatness in his soul.

So, maybe!

Why would you want to go there even if it existed? The fact that 'God' puts a clause in your entry to it by stating you must accept him (blindly) and believe in him before he will accept you into heaven suggests he's very vain, temperamental, moody and has an inferiority complex, or he doesn't exist (now theres an theory!)

yes you can as easy as ABC ADMIT your need for Godand that you need God to gorgive you for yours sins. BELIEVE that Jesus is Lord, that He died for your sins, and rose from the dead. CONFESS, as Jesus to forgive you and take control of your life and then confess before others that you are a follower of Christ. and you will be saved... and get into heaven.

no you can't get to heaven on her prayers.
entering heaven is all about being "born again" as the scriptures hath said (acts 2:38 tells how).

Jesus said 3 times in jn 3 you MUST be born again or you CANNOT enter heaven.

you have to go to the book of acts to find out HOW to be born again.
peter preached HOW in his first sermon... acts 2:38. for a clearer understanding, read chapters 2,8, 10, & 19.

you can't get to heaven on belief only.
you must OBEY the Gospel... the death, burial, & resurrection of Jesus Christ.

how do we OBEY it??

to obey His DEATH ...... we repent.
repentance means we "die to ourselves" ...
it is more than just asking forgiveness of sin.
it is turning away from the life of sin & turning toward God ... living for Him

to obey his BURIAL ...... we are baptized by immersion "in Jesus' Name"....
not "in the father, son & Holy Spirit" ...
these are titles, not a name.
there is no power to forgive sin in a title.
Jesus' blood signified by HIS NAME is the only name that covers (remits) your sins...

you must be baptized w/ His NAME spoken as you are immersed in the water (symbolic for His blood).

only apostolic churches baptize "in Jesus Name"
they baptize just like the apostles did ... (hence the name, apostolic).

to obey Jesus' RESURRECTION ..... we receive the baptism or the infilling of the Holy Spirit w/ the evidence of speaking in another language as God's Spirit gives you the ability.

acts 2:4 speaks of the infilling of the Spirit ......

"they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

the apostle peter told us HOW to be saved (as discussed above) ...
"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (acts 2:38)

this is the Gospel & that's how we are to obey it if we are to be saved.
it is what Jesus meant in John 3 when He said you cannot enter heaven unless you are born of the water & of the Spirit.
this is the method of salvation for everyone ... even today.
all churches should continue to follow what they preached.
if they don't teach what the apostles taught, they are in false doctrine. those in false doctrine cannot be saved.

the apostle Paul explained in 2 thess.1:8-9 what will happen to you if you do not OBEY the Gospel ...
that Jesus wil....

"In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;"

Paul said that not obeying the Gospel is equivalent to not knowing God.
that's why it is soooooooo important to know what the Gospel of the Kingdom is & how to obey it!!!

the instructions for entering heaven are all laid out in the Word of God ... you just have to know where to look for it.
