That is how true Christians see "conversion" They aren't trying to "convert" anyone I guess that is a side product or what not, but we actually see it more as saving your spiritual life from hell which we do believe exists. That being said their are a lot of fake, hypocritical Christians and they will face God and be judged just like they judge other with their self-righteous attitudes because they repel more people from Christ than they actually "save"

In answer to your question, yes I would. I once crawled into the back of a crushed vehicle and gave CPR to a child whilst wedged next to a trapped and dying man. However, in response to your statement you'd better make sure that your CPR technique is correct or you might just end up killing the person you are trying to save. I also once belonged to an organization who feel it is their duty to knock on peoples doors and offer them the 'truth that leads to eternal life'. Unfortunately what I was teaching was not the truth and I know pray to God that I haven't condemned anyone to death by my ignorance of the truth.
