This has been asked before, but all references are to the OT. And any NT sources are not DIRECTLY quoted.

I really would like to see NEW TESTAMENT references please.

the praying over the wax sets fire on a path of destruction...

humans are manipulated into silence spiritually by this effect....
it damages our conscience, it distorts our emotions and it becomes the source of our mental imbalances....

The church also uses the same practice with water... holy water that is why they get us to block our mind's eye with it.. in the middle of our forhead... also doucing ourselves in it deadens our senses...

These are but 2 of the voodoo type practices that occur in the Roman Catholic Church...

Until mother nature healed the elements of nature
it went undetected...

you all know who I am talking about= we need to take a stand with yahoo, and continue to report him, he is not funny and he is degrading and repulsive. If I can get a question deleted once that asked a question about God searching our hearts, how can this guy remain. Let us take a stand before children start reading these.

now the OT god was mean and killed lots of people and told people to kill others if they didnt follow him. that means this god is extremely violent, cruel, and harsh.

yet jesus comes and preaches forgiveness....but the gospels writers really do him a disservice by having him threaten people on how to live their lives. to me that is not consistant at all with how jesus wanted people to live. he wanted people to love thy enemies and be the good samaritan. yet if they dont believe in him all this crazy stuff will happen. now another inconsistancy with jesus being all lovy dovy is that the NT god which if its really jesus shows how vindictive he is because he has to sacrifice himself in one of the most brutal ways possible to save humanity. From what? not really from sin, but from God. Think about it, people sin andeventually they will kill each other, but God actually would be the one destroying them first.
So my question is, why does it seem like jesus is peaceful when he really isnt

Or are they destined to end up in the waste bin of history for ignoring eons of deeply ingrained human expression by trying to
prohibit and restrict these universal cultural phenomena.?

I have a sister who, Long story short, is not very good person. She has had many children and left many of them on the streets. Now she has 3 living with her (out of the 6 ) She she is getting sick of the oldest and wants to git rid of him too :( We, her siblings, are not really sure what to do. My mom has already adopted one of my sister's children and can't take another, and for reasons of their own non of my siblings can take him.

Then we come to me, I am convert to Orthodox Judaism. I am married and live in a VERY religious community. IF the child came and lived with us he would HAVE to be converted to Judaism, Leaving behind behind the only religion he semi knew (baptist) We would have to enroll him in Jewish schools where he would be VERY behind. Added to SEVEAR emotional issues (that come from living the life my sister has given him) I fear he would have traumatic adjustment issues to changing religions and ways of life on top of that.

What is the best thing to do?

It's your destiny to die in a unatural way. Now the angel of death asks you how do you wanna die. It would seem like an accident for the rest of the world. Only you will know about the deal you made with the death advocate.
Sickness is not a valid answer.

I am near- atheist , for the fact the fact they show is back up with many other source of fact .

Christians (most) always try to prove us wrong , indicating conspiracy and yada yada , but why do we want to cheat people with false fact ? if we know we are wrong and christianity biblical account are facts and 100% true , we would have convert rather than getting burn eternally right ? doesnt it make any faint sense to you guys ?

Anyway , i think if you insist that you are a true follower of Jesus , that you love your enemy ( me for this case ) and your neighbour .

instead of condemning and asking retard questions , you should think of how to start a petition to release people in hell after some time .

sure you would say no way and bla bla , that just show how much you are loving people .

i bet if Jesus were here again , he would think of petitioning instead of making sure we don't get out of hell

jesus said upon this rock i will build my church. some say he was talking about Peter but why would he say that to a guy who would deny him when he is faced with death, Peter was not strong enough to handle christs church. if Jesus Christ built a church what would he call it? is it the Church of Christ?

They repeat their beliefs over and over again.

They come here religiously.

They have sites that they give links to like a Christian handing out religious tracts.

They give their advice when it's not asked for.

They try to answer questions about God.

They practice anthropomorphisms: treating God like any other man. They come here faithfully to do so.

They preach themselves as being right about what they believe, even though they don't really know.

They typically communicate that science is why they believe that there's no God, even though there is no scientific proof involved in their decision.

So what they are doing is espousing a theory that they have but by faith they are saying that they are right about the truth of it.

Doesn't that seem religious?

Are they becoming more like a religion the longer they stay here?

It's time for our weekly celebration, where we express our joy for being a Free People, unbowed and untamed.

Will it be a quick *fizzle-POP* as we hit the lake of fire and brimstone, or do we slowly marinate in our own juices for all eternity? Opinions differ.

But since I've had a vision of the Summerlands many years ago, meeting my father and grandfather who were fishing in one of the many clear streams that border the wild grasslands that abound there, I've no fear of christian hell.

I prefer to believe that whatever it is in us that endures beyond our death will be called by that which we worshipped in life (in my case: Love). That each of us, through the way we live, fashions the existence we will experience after death.

That we are the authors of our fate.

What say you?

Every time im in Science class we usually talk about how the Earth is formed and how water is created and all these theories and how there were continents because those volcanoes which were in the ocean and got dried up and bla bla bla. It's really confusing me. Im 14 and im pretty much confused about religion, and it feels like im commiting a big sin when I honestly have no idea anymore and I used to be so faithful towards it. And now the more I learn about Science, the more I think that Science is pretty much everything and like there isn't any God. But at the same time I feel like if there is Science, than someone has to be responsible for all of this.

What are your opinions?

to anyone who's religious, agnostic, atheistic, monotheistic or anyone else i've forgotten to mention ... do you give the benefit of the doubt to other beliefs or belief systems? for example, atheists, do you think there MAY be a god but its just something you can't bring yourself to believe? religious people, do you think god MAY not exist, but its a fact you can't relate to?

One of my favorite spare time things, has always been to come up with a theory of how we came around to be. I don't belive it or anything! But it's just fun for me (yes I have no life)

So my latest has been, that there are an actual society of godsO.o and they live among themselves etc etc, and each of us are worshiping a diffrent one of them, depending on what we belive in

and each god has their own world etc etc

and we're more like doll houses then anything for them

and thats where I got stuck

And I was like I can ask R&S to help me

anyone have any ideas:P to elborate or whatever

again I'm not serious! just for fun

I am a spiritual Christian, and wish to call God my Goddess and Divine Mother. What is wrong with this? I have always thought it would be better to look at God as feminine, as the Divine Mother.

Most Christians I Talk to say God is truly "neither", but I have seen where the pagan conception of Zeus has shaped the Christian view of God as a man on a throne hurling lightning bolts. So they call God Father.

If most Christians call God Father, why can I not say Mother?

Where in the Bible does it say it is wrong for Christians to call God Mother or Goddess?

Our Mermaid, who art in ocean,
scaly be thy tail.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in ocean
Give us this day our daily sex.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
