Gay civil marriage is not an issue for Christians to take a stance on at all, it is a secular matter and in a secular democracy religious beliefs must come second to civil rights.

I have no problem with the Christian, Muslim or Jewish position on gay marriage. If you don't like it then don't let them get married in your church / mosque / synagogue.
However, stopping them from having a legal status to their relationship is discrimination, plain and simple.
If we legislate against gay marriage we might as well make all discrimination against gays legal too. No gays in the military. People can be fired because they are gay. There is no difference at all.

I don't look at such things, however, no Christian has the right to dictate who non-Christian churches marry.

I hope they make gay dogs and cats next. What fun!
Oh yeah, I forgot, dogs and cats are dumb animals that don't know how to be gay. That takes a "smart" human.

Does this help you understand God's stnce on it?
" Do not be deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, NOR HOMOSEXUALS.....shall inherit the kingdom of God" ...... And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God". (I Corin. 6:9-11)
