They repeat their beliefs over and over again.

They come here religiously.

They have sites that they give links to like a Christian handing out religious tracts.

They give their advice when it's not asked for.

They try to answer questions about God.

They practice anthropomorphisms: treating God like any other man. They come here faithfully to do so.

They preach themselves as being right about what they believe, even though they don't really know.

They typically communicate that science is why they believe that there's no God, even though there is no scientific proof involved in their decision.

So what they are doing is espousing a theory that they have but by faith they are saying that they are right about the truth of it.

Doesn't that seem religious?

Are they becoming more like a religion the longer they stay here?

Jedi,
It's not reverse psychology. It's just observation.

Wow! I guess this really hurts Atheists to see! Attacking me instead of accepting the truth is what I did expect from those who have no godly understanding.

They come after me there too. But I am only asking a question. They do not have to get angry, unless there is something untrue about what I said.

atheists are confused humans who cant admitt their is a god b/c they like to feel they control their lives. but in the end when God reveals himself they wil be sorry. its funny how they dont believe in God but always wanna talk about him. befor they die they will realize they are wrong, death seems to do that to people, but by then its too late.

As an atheist

I repeat my beliefs because I am here answering questions and many ask what a person believes and many questions are repeated.

I come here only when I am bored and have nothing else to do or I am procrastinating doing something I don't feel like doing.

I don't give links to sites but would if it were appropriate to the question that was asked.

This site is about asking and answering questions, so I am only answering a question that was asked by someone.

Which God?

I do not believe in a God so I really don't see how it would be possible to treat God like any man. And again see above.

I do not preach that I am right, I give an opinion when it is asked.

I say that the way my mind processes the information I have gained through education and life experience forms my beliefs the same way they form everyone Else's.

I am answering questions just like everyone else.

Nope doesn't seem religious more like a bunch of people on-line answering and asking questions.

I wouldn't have to repeat my beliefs over and over if theists would stop asking the same question over and over

I wouldn't call it religously. I'm just killing some time while reading my email, posting on forums and waiting for my dinner.

We just want you to educate yourself - is that so wrong?!

Most people do I find

Only in an incredulous - "how can you believe this sh!t kind of way!

There are no gods, why would we treat your god special like.

I know exactly what I believe - telling lies isn't nice you know

Oooh more lies - I guess you're hoping your god doesn't have a three strikes rule. Actually there is no scientific evidence a god exists.

atheism is the lack of belief in god. It's not anything else.

No not really,

I find it funny that in your attempt to insult atheists you're insulting yourself in the process

It is naturally impossible for an atheist to "prove" their point; and it is naturally impossible for the Christian to "prove" their point. A "true" Christian is the one who has been blessed to have the Holy Spirit of Christ Jesus implanted within them without them thinking, saying, or doing anything to get or accept it. Also, it is also impossible for one proclaiming to be a Christian to persuade someone else to become a Christian, or lead them to Christ. If anyone believes they are able to persuade someone else to become a Christian or lead them to Christ, they are deceived in their understanding of what a true Christian believes and practices; and if they believe such then they are putting themselves on the same level as the Holy Spirit because it is "only" the Holy Spirit that brings about the Spiritual birth/deliverance to each and every individual blessed to be so endowed. I notice that this board should be called the Christians vs. Atheists question board because it is full of questions and answers that are meant only to take shots at each other below the belt. I challenge all of you to have a real discussion.

are you scared now???

people shoot a few holes in your religion and you answer by trying to use reverse psychology???

EDIT

we are still waiting for your 'truth'...

No more *DRINK*, now you get the Top Ten...

Top Ten Signs You're a Fundamentalist Christian

10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.

9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.

8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.

7 - Your face turns purple when you hear of the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including women, children, and trees!

6 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.

5 - You are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the scientifically established age of Earth (few billion years), but you find nothing wrong with believing dates recorded by Bronze Age tribesmen sitting in their tents and guessing that Earth is a few generations old.

4 - You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs -- though excluding those in all rival sects - will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet consider your religion the most "tolerant" and "loving."

3 - While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some idiot rolling around on the floor speaking in "tongues" may be all the evidence you need to "prove" Christianity.

2 - You define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it comes to answered prayers. You consider that to be evidence that prayer works. And you think that the remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.

1 - You actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church history - but still call yourself a Christian.

No, I've noticed nothing of the sort.

But I have noticed that a lot of the religious people here love to lie, and repeat the same lies over and over. I thought most religions frowned on that.

"They preach themselves as being right about what they believe, even though they don't really know."

I can't speak for all atheists here but simply because I believe something to be true does not mean that I assertain that it is impossible for evidence to be presented to the contrary.

Making generalizations is foolish.

Gee... Maybe it's because I HAVE a religion that I seem religious. Not all religions are theistic, you know.

And you just made a sweeping generalization, so I'll return it. All Christians are creepy, and they brainwash their children and want the US to be a theocracy. :P

It took me a long time (not really just join about 3 months ago) to find a like-minded person with the same observation and not afraid to speaks out like myself.

It's very refreshing to hear someone like you. Wish there are more of the like of you in the coming days.

It seems like there are more of them than there are us; which gives them the impression that "majority are right" and the saddest part is that they really do believe they are !
