Sounds easy my friend. But the master destroyer, satan the devil goes around devoring who he can find and turn the truth into a lies and many a man fall for it. So the rituals contiune and will untill Christ returns to take his choosen home with him.
In fact Christ said it was not going to be easy to carry our cross.

Christianity is the simplest faith of all. It is Christians that give it rituals and trappings that they want. To see this live witness different cultures as they worship each bringing a beautiful part of their culture into the ritual. Maybe it is humanity interacting with God in a congregation that makes this happen.

Yes, you are right. Taking communion and fellowship are the most important aspects. People have been warned about too much tradition by Thomas Cranmer (archbishop of Canterbury,1533 - 1556), when he wrote that we should "diligently search for the well of life in the books of the Old and New Testament and not run to the stinking puddles of men's traditions (devised by man's imagination) for our justification and salvation,"

Nope. Why would you think so? All through history God has set up His own rituals in the Temple. Christ Himself started the Communion ritual which is all that is are was meant to be.
If silly man follows that example so be it.
The only ritual that counts involves you on your knees confessing sin and asking for forgiveness. That covers all the rest.

I love this question. I've never thought about that.
Intutitively I want to say "yes." And I think that would be my eventual answer anyway.
We're put here to love God and each other. I guess that's pretty simple, but it's easy to lose sight of.

True Christianity is without the religion. Church membership will not save you, good works won't cut it. There are certain customs that I like because they make me feel good, not because I HAVE to do them, or to gain 'brownie' points.
