The bible talks about the tree being a tree of knowledge and evil, where did the apple story come from?

...rich mans cult? According to an investigation, it is. This Doctor that I know said that he saw their headquarters in Florida and all these guys out front were walking around holding onto machine guns. What's up with that? If Tom Cruise swears that theres no such thing as a chemical imbalance, then why don't they prove that? Do you know how many americans have been diagnosed with a chemical inbalance? Like millions!

The rabbi says:

"I've got 8 kids... one more and I'll have a baseball team!"

The reverend says:

"Hey man, that's nothing. I've got 10 grandkids... one more and I'll have a football team!"

The Mormon bishop says:

"You guys are both pitiful! I've got 17 wives... one more and I'll have a golf course!"

Ba-dum-dum Ching!

Your thoughts?

I wish people would see the muslims who just want peace and a future. I know that is with me, I'm no extremist but I pray 5 times a day. Is that so wrong? I have a big family and I know all of them want the same.
I'm only 15 and I'm praying for peace everyday..

OK, I'm not uneducated or utterly unworldly. How do *you* define sin? Is it disobedience of God's law? Which law(s) - the ten commandments?

Surely NASA has made it a lot further up than the builders of the Tower of Babel?

I will have to research the link again, but some Astronauts are saying now that NASA has silenced them from speaking on some of the Life Force they uncovered on Mars

Even though I am a Christian I am open to other schools of thought about Science the Paranomal the meaning of Planets from a Astrological Point of view..Since GOD creates all and everything we should do are best to understand as much as he allows us to..

Bible describes Satan, commonly called Lucifer, as having had a place in heaven. Where in heaven did satan / lucifer dwell, and what happend to this being? some research suggests satan, or lucifer, dwelt in a literal location in the heavens... which when destroyed left the debris we now see as asteroids and comets

Is it a chemical imbalance in the brains of some people which blocks their ability to have faith and believe in god?

...the same way. How can you tell one was getting information from devils/demons and another's was from God? Or, are both from God, or both from demons? It seems to me you can't have it both ways and judge one from the other without having experienced both. Agree?

Seeing as how the Quran only mentions modest dress, and not spcifically the Hijab, how can any reasonable person take the wearing of it to be Gods Law?

Seeing as how the Hijab seems to simply be a centuries old dictate of man, justified by the Quran, does than also mean if some Imams interpretation held to cut off your breasts and never leave the house, and this became the new standard for modesty, would Muslim women begin to follow that as Gods Law as well?

It seems to me that the Hijab is nothing more than a "binding of the feet" backed by religious dogma, and a way for men to protect their own interests by thus inhibiting and limiting women.

doesn't god realize he'd probably have a lot more people worshipping him if he didn't threaten them into liking him with eternal damnation?

"In Iraq, the U.S. military's whack-a-mole approach to killing Saddam Hussein may have finally paid off. The bombs destroyed the area and left behind a 60-foot crater, or as coalition forces prefer to call it, a freedom hole."-John Stewart.

if science is so untruthful according to creationists, we should say that they cant have 21st century medicine and therapy when they get ill, e.g. Science-Basher gets cancer; we withold chemotherapy or radiotherapy like gamma knife, and tell them that according to them none of this works so they'll just have to pray the cancer away. thoughts and suggestions please people!

So, if I don't have any faith in God, and wish that I did, I should pray to God, right?
Now, even if I don't believe, and pray anyway, I should, though disbelieving and skeptical, come to faith?
That was what everyone said...
Twenty years of trying to find belief any which way, I have to conclude that I was correct and there is no God.
Now, when the religion itself (Christianity) says "ask and ye shall receive", and I haven't recieved, what is going on?
I can only conclude that it isn't right... It wasn't that I didn't want to... it simply didn't work, even though the bible says that it will.

i keep hearing about how jesus and god love us so much and that they want to save every one of us from eternal damnation, hell. so my question is this. let's say someone is hanging on a rope above a lake of fire. and the only person that can save them is you. you can either reach your hand out and save him or her, or you could let them die. the choice is completely yours. would you really care what that person thought of you before you reached out to help them? would you ask that person if they accepted you as their lord and personal savior? would your decision to help that person rely solely on what he or she says?
