Just because people don't believe in cross-species evolution doesn't mean they don't believe in all science.
There are some people who do not use modern medicine because they believe it is not what God intended.

Once again a ridiculous theory from someone who thinks he knows what all Creationists teach. Creationists don't say that science is untruthful, there are many wonderful things that science has done with regards to technology BUT Evolution is not science. It cannot be tested or studied in the present because it happened many years ago, therefore it is not science. Just a bunch of theories, just like creationism. Unless you were there you can't know for sure, so you choose to believe in evolution based on what you think is true, not on facts!!! Your suggestion is ridiculous. Especially since God supplies your life and the oxygen that everyone breathes each day. How about giving that up??? I didn't think so!

well it is a logical plan although not a very ethical one (that fact doesn't really bother me though). i just wanted to point out to the people on here who said that their god (Jehovah) gave us science, Wrong!! if you believe in the bible version of events, then Lucifer, in the form of a serpent gave us knowledge and science in the Garden of Eden, with out him we would all just blindly follow the orders of Jehovah. As they say ignorance is bliss, and personally, i really would rather have a bit of pain and hardship than live as a slave with no mind of my own. So as all science and knowledge of how the world works is sinful (according to the bible) they should all live in caves somewhere without any technology that has been developed in the last 6000 years, as that is when they believe man was created.
I feel at this point i should mention i have no problem with Christians or any other religious group as long as they leave me alone.
oh and as an edit, i would like to point out to certain people that their is plenty of evidence for evolution and none at all for creation theory. (the bible is not proof, its a book) However the fossil record and carbon dating (i use carbon dating as an example as it is the most well know) are proof, i agree that it is not 100% but it is fairly close, that is why it is still called a theory, but as it is so widely accepted by the most intelligent people on the planet, maybe its time we started calling it the law of evolution. This would help to solve allot of arguments. but if not then we can just wait for a million years or so and watch as animals and are selves change. would that be enough proof for you??

I'm an atheist too and try to stay on top of science and medical breakthroughs as best I can. I'm trying to figure out how your "plan" would help anything. Seems to me that we atheists can be just as ridiculous as the creationists when trying to get our points across so they can be understood. I have a difficult enough time trying to communicate my logic to the faithful hear without "plans" like yours muddying up the water. Having to assure people that some atheists like myself really are interested in an intelligent dialog after they've digested crap like this is beginning to wear a little thin. Can't remember what it was like to hear someone start a discussion with, "Tell me how you see this issue, John" instead of something like, "Since all you Christian hating atheists think that we deserve no medical treatment when we get cancer........". Like I say. Starting to wear thin.

Hi
The problem with religious people, especially christians, is that science 'is' believed, if it does not interfere with their other beliefs, but 'not' believed, if it does!
Picking and choosing, which of the science, they want to allow.
Christians have a habit of doing this kind of choosing, they do it for their 'own' belief, following certain aspects of the bible, but not others!
Some christian funda'mental'ists, are now even making up their 'own' science.
Stating that their evidence, puts dinosaurs 'with' mankind 4000 years ago and that dinosaurs, were on Noah's Ark, no less!!!
This just all goes to show, how totally deluded these people are!!!

The only hole in your plan is: God created science! So in the end, a science basher would also be a God basher! So while it might sound like a fine plan, you would be targeting people that don't believe in the power of God in the first place!
Be blessed!

Evolution is still only a THEORY, until proven it has just as much credence as Creationism.
If we evolved from apes, then I dare you to go get an ape blood transfusion ! Darwins finches on the other hand would have no problem swapping blood as they are the same species with different shaped beaks etc.
I'm no Science basher, but I know enough about science to know that one cannot deny something without proof.

Such ignorance. I am a Christian and a scientist. I do not reject science. I just reject the notion that life evolved from some pool of chemicals. And if I ever get cancer I will be much happier knowing I am being treated by a Doctor and prayed for by my church.

If I had cancer and went under the best treatments of all, I would still pray like crazy, and I have my doubts about praying, let alone about a personal God.

Unfortunately, some people do refuse medical treatment because they believe they can pray their illnesses away, or be healed miraculously by someone like Benny Hinn. It's sad that some of these people die believing God will heal them.
And like someone already said, refusing medical treatment to Christians who do want it, would be totally unethical.
