She said... "You really think we came from monkeys?"

This is a true story.

Does it disprove evolution?

human and animal acrifices, human breeding for the purpose of infant sacrifice, collecting blood in chalice of the sacrificed, chanting, demonic presence, ceremony of inaugurating young boys into priesthood, summoning Lucifer and his spirits to possess young boys who have been chosen to become high priests, marriage to the beast ritual, sexual abuse of children, sacrificial murder of young children.

clearly these things are way to fun to save for only once a year. we do them all the time!!!!

so my question is, what does it take to live in such willful religious ignorance?

I met a brother about five years ago. He was disfellowship for sexual reasons. I ended up loving him and encouraged him to turn back to Jehovah. But I kept my association with him at armslenght because I knew that I wasn't supposed to associate with him. During that period he was reinstated. I still kept my distance, because I saw traits in him that I couldn't live with. I wanted to build myself spiritually because I myself was diciplined by being put on public reproof ( a reason that didn't envolved him). He was back for a year and attended meetings often. Today I found out that he was desfellowshipped again for the same reason.I know you guys would tell me that I shouldn't associate with him. Please don't judge me. Is just that I care for him so much and I wanted him to serve Jehovah along with me. It hurts me to see him throw away his life like this. I wish I could help. What should I do? Is there anyway I could show him I care and help him without disobeying Jehovah?

How can you read "I appeared to Abraham, to Issac, and to Jacob, as "God Almighty", but by My name Lord (a.k.a. YHWH/Jehovah/I AM) I was not known to them?

How is it possible to argue that Christ was not the Hebrew "God Almighty" before he asked to be called Lord/YHWH/Jehovah/ I AM?

Ezra 1:9-11

"Now this was their number: 30 gold dishes, 1,000 silver dishes, 29 duplicates; 30 gold bowls, 410 silver bowls of a second kind and 1,000 other articles. All the articles of gold and silver numbered 5,400."

Can we all agree that 1,000+1,000+410+30+30+29 does not equal 5,400?

Sounding even dumber than they did in the first place? I mean if you are trying to defend the ignorance of your fellow creationists it would be wise to do some backround research on the people you site.
P.S. Francis collins accepts evolution! Hahahaha

"Belief in creationism is inversely correlated to education; of those with post-graduate degrees, only 22% believe in strict creationism."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Level_of_support_for_evolution

Why do you think this is true?

Disclaimer - Creationists, I'm not calling you on uneducated. I'm wondering why you believe this general trend exists.

this was in an answer from TD in a recent question i asked about halloween. how many of you think this is accurate?

Halloween is the most favored holy & sacred day for witches, Satanists, & devil worshippers. It is a cultic celebration of demonic power.
They perform many rituals to open the gates of the underworld for spirits to come forth & speak.
They attempt to contact the dead & are bodily possessed with an evil spirit to gain knowledge as the spirits advise and assist them.
They invoke the spirits for personal power through black magic.
They worship Baal as King.
They receive power through the practice of meditation with a higher mind and through spirit guides (evil)............

feel about Atheist? I mean it seems most in here that claim to be against religion always target Christians, Jews, and Muslims. Atheist, how do you feel about pagans, Wiccans, Hindus, Budhist, and all the other types of religions? What if people worship the ancient Greek gods still how do you feel about that? And to those who are pagans, Wiccans, Hindus, Budhist, and other religions, what do you think of Atheist? It seems to me that Atheist only target Christians, Jews and Muslims in that order and don't think about the other religions. Well guess what....the other religions beleive in a god, spirits, or some form of higher power.

1. Living things are trying to evolve.

2. Evolution implies progress (over time, organisms will undeniably become smarter and more complex).

3. If one species evolves into another, the original species must die out.

4. Evolution is pure chance.

5. Evolution is "only a theory," meaning it has little evidence, and other hypothesises are equally valid.

6. Evolution is supported only by Atheists.

7. Humans evolved from monkeys.

8. Evolution is not observable.

9. Evolution takes faith.

These misconceptions (I've heard all these and more) are spread by people who think evolution is attacking their beliefs, and instead of finding support for their ideas they conclude that by disproving a well-backed theory it will prove their hypothesis (not true).

If you answered true to any of these questions, you are extremely uneducated on the theory. To make a final conclusion without even understanding evolution is sheer ignorance.
