I have noticed, it has made it more difficult to find a home church since our beloved pastor was killed in a car accident. We have visited many and a few have seemed ok but we have yet to find the one right for us. I think this last one we visited may be the one, but I will be visiting more to make sure. I have been in some where I just knew there were major problems that were going to either tear apart the church or lead the wrong way.

The foolish Episcopal Church in the USA and the Anglican Church of Canada have chosen to take the path of doubting certain bible passages! It's one choice that we simply cannot join, because the cost is too high.
In the "Church of England", parent church to both the US Episcopols and Canadian "Anglicans" an abuseive vicar is in the news this week, sacked by the U.K.'s Anglican Church

We dare not sacrifice eternal truth for mere appeasement; we cannot turn away from the source of life and love for a temporary truce with the luke warm Christians like the Anglicans, although many good friends are of that faith, and I love them dearly.
The other road is the only one that we can embrace as followers of
Christ. It is not an easy road because it demands obedience and faithfulness from each one of us. The easy road was never the right road. It requires a renewed commitment to the Historic Biblical Faith.
For those who have walked away from this commitment, especially The Episcopal Church USA and the Anglican Church of Canada, it requires repentance, a reversal of current unscriptual policies and credible assurances concerning such basic matters as:
The Authority and Supremacy of Scripture.
1. The Doctrine of the Trinity
2. The person, work and resurrection of Jesus the Christ
3. The acknowledgement of Jesus as Divine and the One and only means of salvation
4. The doctrines of sin, forgiveness, reconciliation, and transformation by the Holy Spirit through Christ.
5. The sanctity of marriage and teaching about morality that is rooted in the Bible.
These are not onerous burdens or tiresome restrictions but rather they are God's gift, designed to set us free from the bondage of sin and give us the assurance of life eternal.
This is our moment of truth.
I created a web site of my "Assembly of God" church's basic beliefs, unchanged since they were written almost a century ago in 1918...

You may see some true believers return to church if that is occuring. I've been in some churches to where even the pastor was a minister of Satan. They are not easily seen and one must discern by the Spirit. These false teachers are stumbling blocks to God's baby Christians and evidently the Lord is sending His saints on clean up tours. We have numerous home ministries because of these antichrists who have crept into the churches. Our churches are becoming empty and we are wondering why. The Shepherds are false.

Amen! Yes He is separating the sheep from the goats....and I pray He comes quickly!
-and note to birdsflies- she said that God is taking out the "weeds" or "goats" as the bible says--- and the true body of Christ-- those who are saved He is going to preserve forever!
That was the point of this entire question. How the time is coming- and we who are saved, who are walking with the Lord must not be dismayed-- but continue to look to Him and wait for His coming.

I'm not sure if it's as much a falling away, as it is people are moving move from traditional denominations like Presbyterian/Baptist/Catholic and more into larger, non-denominational assemblies (at least, this has been my observation.)
It speaks well of you that you can stand up to the waves of insults and mockery that you receive from others here at Y!A (and it's mockery and hatred that Y!A sadly does nothing about, either.)

i think it odd that you know that you are not part of the mess God is cleaning up. in my experience working in churches, a person who talks like you - about cleaning up the mess - is usually part of the gossip that started the mess.
i am not saying you are, but your question is very telling. perhpaps if all of the people at your church would stop being so JUDGEMENTAL, there would be alot more chance for God to work.

Yes I have. Not only on this site but in a few churches as well.
Thanks for reminding me that HE said do not be dismayed because it hurts my heart to see SO MANY mock the Lord on this site.
I'm glad that your church overcame and is victorious.

The body Of Christ is NOT Washing away, Only those that claims to be a part of the body, God will wash every speckle & Blemish & spot off of it, But the True Body will never be washed away.
