I believe and love the foundations of this church, I believe in everything they stand for. It can be hard and the people can be very strict, but I love it's foundations and I'll never leave this church, no matter how strict the rules are.

I was raised Catholic, all the way. So I know it very well!
My thoughts on Catholics: I feel sorry for Catholics who continue to blindly follow it so foolishly. My thoughts on Catholicism: Catholicism is a very powerful way of controlling people. Hopefully one day it will crumble so those people trapped by guilt and fear can begin to think for themselves again and the human race can get back on track!

I was a Catholic. I found the whole church hypocritical and demeaning my grandmother died in labour because the priest said he wouldn't absolve her sin unless she had another baby. I left the church because in no other area of my life would I put up with such blatant sexism and false superiority.
Most Catholics are okay, in Ireland it was nearly a sin not to be a Catholic so I can understand why it's taking so long for people to let go but the child sex scandals and the subsequent cover ups have damaged the reputation of the church for good. Ireland is Catholic in name only now and not in practice.

I am a lapsed Catholic with a great faith in God and disdain for the organized religion part of it. There are a great many people who live their faith, I have not experienced many. I was in Catholic school for many years and abused because my parents were the first to get divorced....so much for being charitable...

Hmmm, I have known Catholics that are good people, a few that were bad people, but as far as the Catholic Religion it is full of lies and errors.

What we believe is that the Catholic Church gives us the FULLNESS of the truth. Because of this, we have the fullness of the means of salvation (i.e., we have the seven sacraments Jesus gave us, not just one or two). This is Christs Church on earth

i have catholic friends.. but i do not agree with their beliefs mary is not a messenger of God, and you can't go to a preist to forgive you for your sins.. you have to do it your self just you and God.. yes mary had our God but that doesn't mean she should be praised. she was just the vessel used to carry him in her womb.. plus they think the are better then the other rilgions and they think everyone else is wrong. and i was told they think catholics wrote the bible.. and i was told all of this by my catholic friends.. so for the asker i guess the catholic friends i have are wrong.. bc this is what every single one of them say and i have read it in catholic book things..

!God Bless!
