Come on and lets get real here. How can there not be a creator for the universe?

How can we obviously say " We are simply here for no reason?"

If you woke in the morning and saw a dead cat being posted on your door, would you say, " The cat was simply there, and no one puts it there?"

My point is: We were born ( We woke) and saw the world and the things are in it, then we say, " The world was simply there and no one puts it there."

Let me answer your question about " If there is a God, then prove him."

Since God exists before I did, I cannot prove IT, because IT exists before me.

For example: You can't prove a hurricane that blew 100 years ago before you were born, but you heard of such devastating hurricane. The same applies to who God is; IT exists before us all, and we can only comprehend ITs existence through what we see around us today, the world is great evidence that God exists, not to mention us Humans.

Martin Luther, the Protestant reformer who broke with the Catholic Church simply declared the "just shall live by faith," Romans 1:17. The "Cathechism of the Catholic Church" does acknowledge in 157 that "faith is more certain than all human knowledge." However, 159 contradicts this by stating that "Though faith is above reason, there can never be any real discrepancy between faith and reason." The latter teaching can by contradicted by Genesis 5, for example, in which numerous Old Testament figures in ancient times were said to have lived 969, 930, 910, 500 years and so forth. In advanced modern societies in 1900 the life expectancy was only about 40. Over a century later I am aware of no person who has lived over 120 years. Therefore, there is a real discrepancy here between our knowledge of the human body and Scriptures. Is not Luther's reliance on faith for such matters sounder than that of Catechism 157 and Catholic Scholastics, such as, St. Thomas Aquinas?

I need some advice, my sons dad has never had anything to do with him for almost ten years. My son had to have brain surgery and wanted to talk to his dad before he went in. so I searched and found him, my son called and this woman hung up on him twice. I didn’t know how else to contact him, I new where she worked though and got to talking to a friend who emailed her, and her boss and another teacher, explained the situation and said who it was she was hanging up on. Well, that worked, he contacted Ryan and paid all his back child support, over $14000.00. He came to visit Ryan and everything and has been working to build a relationship with him. We moved closer to him so he could spend more time with him. The last couple of weeks he has went and spent every other weekend with his dad. The girlfriend wont have anything to do with me at all. His dad is not aloud to use the home phone to call him, and wont call him from home at all, he waits till he is at work to call from his Cell phone. If he does have to call from home, its like 5 seconds and hangs up. He calls back later when he is at work from his Cell. The last time my son went to visit, he asked her if he could call me, she told him no, when he asked why she said “ your mom did something very mean to me and I don’t want her having my phone number, if I would have pushed it I could have put her in jail for a very long time” and that’s a lie, I did nothing that could put me in Jail, he asked if he could use his dads cell, she again said no. she would not let him call me. He came home and told me about this I emailed his dad, his dad of course stuck up for her and said she was the sweetest person on earth, oh the excuse from her for hanging up on ryan was she thought it was a prank call, then he said it was because he told ger not to talk to anybody she didn’t know, the story keeps changing. Anyway she is the sweetest person on earth and would never hurt ryan in anyway, and he thinks we are lying that she hung up on Ryan. Well, we got into a huge fight over it all, I told him she could have said that, we was not getting a long at the moment and she would prefer he didn’t use her phone. Well, he was sticking up for her and even putting ryan down to do it. Trying to blame everybody but her. I told him that if she didn’t get over herself and start thinking about what she and him was doing to my son he could not spend anymore nights over there, he could come here and spend time with Ryan. Well, he came today and wants to pretend that nothing ever happened, is ignoring what I said, and told ryan he could spend the night the next time. I was at work during this time. He has no rights, I have soul custody. Am I in the wrong here? Or are they?

i mean i personally dont believe in him and why should anybody else if we have absolutely NO proof that he exists except some dumb bible that somebody wrote a long time ago to explain things that nobody understood yet. and no where in the bible is a black person. why is that? is it wrong to be black now? and nobody has ever seen him, all people are doing is worshiping something they dont even know exists and people get filled with the holy ghost or whetever because if you are forced to believe something will happen, then in your mind, it will happen.has nybody actually seen a miracle? personally i haven't, and what will praying do if god is already suposebly watching over all of us. and why do many christians try to force religion down other peoples necks? i really dont care if you come on her with some bull ****, because i am capable of ignoring you, but if you honestly have something to change my mind, or agree with me about, then tell me.

♥thanx♥

In the Catholic calendar, there are plenty of feasts and solemnities involving Jesus Christ. There is at least one solemnity for the Holy Spirit (Pentecost). Yet there is no feast or solemnity for God the Father. As far as I could gather, various Protestant sects and the Orthodox churches also do not have an equivalent feast or solemnity.
Why is there no such feast? Shouldn't there be such a feast?

I know there has been a lot of previous discussions on tithing, mostly saying to give generously and that tithing 10% is considered an Old Testament tradition. My issue is my husband and I are saving as much money as we can before he gets out of the military. Would we be considered greedy for not donating any/much money this next year? I've really felt complelled lately to donate money and thought the answer may be tithing...he has never liked the idea of tithing and after research today I'm not sure I'm very keen on the thought either.

I feel God blesses us very much and we should give something back to at least a good cause that His people are leading. Does anyone know some worthy causes/charities? Could donating my time take the place of donating money?

Thank you for your help.

when someone needs a hug , a kind word , their spirits lifted ... just to be nice ?
or are some of you selective about who you are kind to ?
Moonlit needed a little pick me up and recieved a few not so nice answers that were derogitry towards her religion ... some even trying to convert her
is this what your religion teaches ?
when people of different beliefs are in need ... convert them or speak bad to them ?
where is the love for your fellow men/women ?
can we forget the religion and just see someone in need of some love ?

Does anyone else think it is stupid when people pray for things like winning a football game, performing well, making good grades, etc... because if god doesn't answer the prayers for the people who are starving, the millions of people who died in the holocaust, people who are getting cancer... do you really think he gives a s*** if you win a football game or get an A on your math test??

The Religon of Money, And True Power It Holds, for it seems to me to be the most worthiest of Gods, for it can do so much for you, buy you youth and health, friends, family, it can make you so very happy.

Isn't it the strongest of the Present Day Gods?

And Do You Worship It Too?

It seems that Islam is the only thing in my life which is clear as day light, everything else seems a blurr. A lot of things have changed for me over the past years, as have I, but I have this obscene feeling that things will remain the same for me ( in terms of bad events in life). I also wish to be married, but so far there is no one, and no circumstance to do so. I pretty much feel alone. I hope i'm not annoying anyone with this, but I believe if you need help, ask for it. Sitting arround and pitying ones self is not the answer.

What are some dua's and prayers I can do?
I haven't had any signs from my isthikhara prayers and i'm worried maybe I have done something wrong.

Can you please give me some tips and advice?
( even if you are not Muslim)

Thank You

My argument assesses Atheism as a system of belief. Whether a God does or does not exist is irrelevant to this question.

Atheism is based on the central tenet that the cosmos is an absolute. The universe is an autonomous mechanism operating on the law of causality: Everything is both a cause to a future effect and an effect of a previous cause. From this natural science draws its authority to "calculate" all things: origins, morality, etc.

That said, according to this belief you must arrive at a point at which Atheism is not governed by reason. It is the arrangement of your brain physiology which decides what you believe.

Even more laughable, is that Christianity (and all religious belief) is also decided by causality.

So not only is Atheism a contradiction (if you claim it on the basis of "reason"), but Atheism actually justifies Christianity. Once you carry out Atheism's logic, Christianity and Atheism are both equal.

Now, how funny is that?

Am I wrong?

good policy to contact someone before adding them to your contacts? I have always done this, but took no offense that others added me to their list. I have had some of the pictures disappear from the avatars of my contacts. I realize this happens when they are in the process of changing their avatar, but I have had some "blanks" up for the past few weeks. Given the trolling that has been hurting all of us, with unfair violations notices, and suspended accounts, would it be asking for too much to email the person you are interested in "connecting" with, before you hit "add to contacts?" Maybe it is a generational thing, as I am older, but I was taught to knock, and wait for the door to be opened. Before it became Open Season hunting ground on this site, I considered it a compliment when someone added me to their contacts. Now when I find a notice from an account user that has been a member for a few days or weeks that I am not familiar with I have to wonder.
