why should we believe in god?

i mean i personally dont believe in him and why should anybody else if we have absolutely NO proof that he exists except some dumb bible that somebody wrote a long time ago to explain things that nobody understood yet. and no where in the bible is a black person. why is that? is it wrong to be black now? and nobody has ever seen him, all people are doing is worshiping something they dont even know exists and people get filled with the holy ghost or whetever because if you are forced to believe something will happen, then in your mind, it will happen.has nybody actually seen a miracle? personally i haven't, and what will praying do if god is already suposebly watching over all of us. and why do many christians try to force religion down other peoples necks? i really dont care if you come on her with some bull ****, because i am capable of ignoring you, but if you honestly have something to change my mind, or agree with me about, then tell me.

I believe in God because I have seen miracles. Want to see a miracle? Go look in the mirror, out your window at the trees,flowers, etc. It was all made by God. True, He often uses human hands and we do screw up once in a while. But, to know His presence is just so very awesome. Do I force religion down anyone, no, just the importance of having a personal, one on one relationship with the Lord God Almighty. Afterall, it is not about religion, it is about relationship. Pray and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Find a Bible and read it. Try the gospel of John, let His Holy Word speak to you. Just give it a try.

how do you know none of the followers were black? after all, the romans were still in "kick @$$" mode at that point. lot of control and ability to move people...

also, the bible is bogus. yeah... but this doesn't mean that the concept of god is. read up on the cosmological argument for a differing perspective. something from nothing... until quantum physics gives us that perfect explanation, i'd say it's still up in the air.

as for miracles, the concept is somewhat relative.

christians are a herd. they want more sheep in the herd. admit it, there's a subconscious appeal to getting sucked in by the herd. :)

i'm somewhat neutral in this debate. and by all means, feel free to ignore me. but, i'm of the view that to discount anything completely is somewhat closed minded.

Umm nicely i think interior the ineffective of nighttime God and Goddess, they dont rather care if I make errors....as long as I dont reason injury to nature, which i wouldn't in any respect do because of fact i'm vegetarian and that i like the Earth =)

Why we should believe in God... he created us, life after death, teaches us to do right because we naturally do wrong.. You aren't seeing proof that he exists because you're not seeking it, and we don't want to see God in things because we want logic and reasoning and not supernatural.. nothing that we can't understand.
Also, the Bible is a History book, its a book of prophesy, and its a book of law. It was written by several people, not one and wasn't to explain things to people.. though it does include the law (ten commandments). You couldn't be more wrong about black people in the Bible too. The Bible takes place in the middle east: Iran, Iraq, Israel etc. as well as North Africa. King Solomon talks about having dark skin, the Canaanites I believe were dark skinned as well.
Moses did see God, not his face, but as he walked past him. And since Jesus was God in human form thousands of people saw him.
Umm... Holy Ghost... its just the Spirit form of God.
Oh, and Christians trying to force religion on you... Well, how I explain it is: My favorite band is... say Blink 182. Blink 182 rocks my socks off, I have their posters and CDs etc.. I think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread so of course I'm going to tell all my friends about Blink 182 and invite them to go to their concerts with me, and listen to their music with them and talk about them.. blah blah blah.
If I'm a Christian I'm going to be excited about God the way I am about Blink 182 in the way that I'm going to want to tell everyone about it and I want them to know what I know as well.

God gave us a choice and you picked to not believe now stop annoying us all with your constant swearing. and no one is going to give you proof thats the point of getting into heaven, Jesus says in the bible "blessed be those who dont see and believe" i have my miracles and i had many of them, stop complaining.
