In the Catholic calendar, there are plenty of feasts and solemnities involving Jesus Christ. There is at least one solemnity for the Holy Spirit (Pentecost). Yet there is no feast or solemnity for God the Father. As far as I could gather, various Protestant sects and the Orthodox churches also do not have an equivalent feast or solemnity.
Why is there no such feast? Shouldn't there be such a feast?

If you glorify the Son, you glorify the Father. He and the Father are One.

The Bible says that religious feasts in the old testament to point us to Christ, but now that the fullness of Christ has arrived they are no longer needed.

Colossians chapter two:

16Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

I'd suggest you read the entire chapter.

Good idea! Call the Congregation of Rites at the Vatican.

Doesn't the Father get top billing on Trinity Sunday?

With all the modernist hysteria over "In the Name of the Father...' maybe a "Feast of God the Father the Unbegotten Hypostasis" is what we need.

Why not start your own feast! I think you have a good idea. Beware however, if it catches on, in a couple thousand years people might be worshipping you instead of the focus of your feast (God the Father).

Actually there is one but we do not recognize it as such.
OK Pentecost is to honor the Holy Spirit
Next Easter is to honor Jesus Christ and His Resurrection
Christmas honors God the Father, the giver of His Son to the world. Think about it before you reject the idea

Isn't the Catholic Mass supposed to be a WEEKLY sort of celebration of "god the Father" (I was raised Catholic but recovered). My favorite holiday *snicker*...is the Feast of the Circumcision! (Jesus'). They kinda keep THAT one under wraps...!

There is one. It's called the SABBATH, in which we cease from OUR WORKS to worship God. Most people do not observe the sabbath, because of traditions of men etc. But that is what the sabbath is for, besides our day of rest.

God existed before He created everything you can observe and will exist after the observable is gone. God has no beginning nor end.

Answer: God is infinite and has no beginning, no father or mother.
