I have three: The snowy owl (because they are beautiful and I had a very intense dream about one when I was younger), the dragonfly (I have always been fascinated with them) and the cat (I have had many close relationships with cats over the years. They have personalities very similar to humans.)

I also like wolves, hummingbirds, herons, orca whales and deer.

How about the very real love and compassion humans and even animals have for the less fortunate among us?
Really, infants could not survive if it were truly 'survival of the fittest'.
Neither could the sick or physically challenged. Yet these do survive and always have.
Humans have always taken care of the less fortunate in their midst.
So Survival of the Fittest is not a hard and fast rule that has caused mankind to evolve into what we are today.

How many agree/disagree? Why/why not?

Is it ok for me to say thanks to some of you for being smart and not antagonistic when replying to some of my questions?

Or would you think I was insincere?

Cause I really do appreciate some of you, and some I don't.

thanks B.

Here are some verse I found that might help your question:

They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work. Titus 1:16

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.1 John 5:3

Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.1 John 2:3-5

“For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law. For not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified;” (Romans 2:12-13)

Many seem to lion of Judah pride themselves in being free of just one of the ministrations of law: the ministration of condemnation; as is noted in Romans 8:1 of Bible: NT. So they feel safe in going with another law of Romans 8:2 law vs law, the second mentioned in Matthew 22: 36-40; Not realizing it notes the second is like the first, which is sin and death in Romans 8; And not realizing law has two ministrations in 2Corinthians 3: both the ministration of condemnation and the ministration of death. So, every way I look at Romans 8:2 Law vs Law, it's as if looking at Loser vs Loser, a Loser either way. For eternal salvaton and eternal life thereof is notably "through Jesus Christ", not in Christ Jesus is mirrorly the reverse of Jesus Christ.

Through Jesus --> Christ speaks of being twice risen with Christ after twice fallen as Baby-lon the Great, is bwd fallen to Great<--Greater<--Greatest; And Jesus said of himself a Greater king and prophet than Solomon and Jonah is here.

If most people are sane, why can't we be humane and kind to each other all of the time? We are capable of it, so why not do it? It is said this moment determines the rest of your life, so why not treat each other with love and respect from now on?

i got two things that disturb me. first answering a question with a question,,,why don't i believe in Greek gods ? to my knowledge no one has seen or even claimed to see Greek gods, and the idea that there's no proof god is real there are thousands of people recorded to have seen Jesus and even people who have talked to god.if you dont believe in creation how can u believe in evolution there's no proof of it either , there dinosaurs then there r humans no embetweens.so if there's no creation no evolution where did we come from ?

It could't be proved or disproved right? If I take one individual nucleus of a radioactive isotope of uranium I can't predict when it will decay. So I say God is controlling that. I can imagine several possible responses:
1. God can't be controlling that because it's random. That assumes the actions of any God would be predictable by humans.
2. God can't be controlling that because if one takes a large population of nucleii the decay is very constant and predictable. That's saying that any God could not be constant or predictable.
So, my point is that any absolute statement about the existence or non-existence of God implies absolute knowledge about some aspect of God. If one claims God doesn't exist, how can that person have any absolute knowledge about something that doesn't exist? So I guess one has to define God before arguing existence. Maybe the God of the Bible can be proven not to exist because of the absolute statements made in the Bible.

Please i need to find this out for a sister immediately, as Ramadan is only a couple weeks away....

she had specifically the Roux-en-y surgery (where they alter your anatamy by switching the two main intestines connected to the stomach) this also doesn't allow your body to absorb as many calories as you consume...

her nurse (who is non-muslim & the dr. as well) - have said she will NEVER be able to fast.

is this true?
any muslims w/ RNY surgery who fast ramadan??

can you suggest a schedule of when/how she can eat etc?

she easily gets dehydrated etc. and is unsure she will be able to do it.

-- she just wants to get Muslims opinion, since the dr's don't understand the significance of Ramadan.

and if the answer is "no she can't fast" what is she supposed to do

I have done some research into LDS burial rites but haven't found any references covering what would happen in a situation where the physical body wasn't avaliable. I have read about Baptisms by proxy but this is a question about burials for active LDS members. The possible outcome of the Utah coal mine collapse is what made me originally wonder about LDS funerals but it goes beyond that now. In a situation similiar to that they would at least have an idea where the decease's body located but what about situations where they have no idea where a body is located such as victim of foul play or an MIA soldier where there no body is ever recovered? Any help in finding an anwer would be greatly appreciated.

I had always thought that they were basically the same but now I've been reading there is a difference, although its subtle. My friend, who does a lot of research, says that Wicca is more structured and Witchcraft is more geared towards the individual and less regimented. I'm not sure that really makes sense nor sure I agree with that. What do other Pagans and Witches think?

i believe that you have some recollection of your past life which fades in the first few years and dissapears, say you had a terrible memory, do you think that you would be terrifed by the lack of control, and the loss of being able to talk about it, or relieved that that life was over?
just curious?

As the majority of the world hadn't been discovered until at least the 15th century, how is it possible to know that the whole world was flooded in the story of Noah?

Maybe there was similar weather as recently experienced in England, and the Tigris and the Euphrates burst their banks, flooding Mesopotamia, and much of the Middle East.

It would have seemed like the whole world to someone in those times, but it would have made no difference on a global scale.

It's just a thought I've been having.

ps And also the rainbow has been described as God's promise not to flood again. Is England's recent weather a broken promise?
