Even though Jesus forgave us and died for us while we were yet sinners, as humans the task is not always the easiest!

I've heard the argument that there is no evidence to prove or indicate that there's a God. But exactly what would? If you saw a "miracle", something that seemed to defy natural law, would you just say we have to expand our ideas of what can happen naturally? Or would you say that it has to be explainable by natural law because there's no such thing as magic or our current concept of natural law HAS to explain everything, invalidating the evidence to protect a belief? Or would you say it is magic? Or would you say it's a miracle? Doesn't the interpretation of an event go down to the core of our soul and get filtered by what we want to see?

ok so jesus spent a few hours in torture only to get to spend the rest of eternity seated at the right hand of god in judgment of all mankind. so what is the big deal? would any of us not trade a little torture for that sort of reward?

then how do you explain the fact that it was translated centuries ago when people knew practically nothing about greek and hebrew?
And how come there isn't a King James Translation of the Book of Mormon, the Bhagavad Gita, The Dhammada or the Quran?

So, God is supposed to be watching our every move and thought. So is Santa. and in church, when you have to give a talk, all these people are watching you. and little kids remember every bad thing you say.

Dont you think its creepy how youre always being watched?

Love bombing is the deliberate show of affection or friendship by an individual or a group of people toward another individual. Critics have asserted that this action may be motivated in part by the desire to recruit or otherwise influence. "Love bombing" is often cited by critics as one of the methods used by some cults to recruit and retain members.

I've been love bombed by Mormons before. I hate it how they act like you're their new bestest friend if you give even an inkling of interest in Mormonism. I've read that they are actually trained to do this...

(I'm not just picking on Mormons here, Jehovah's Witnesses do it and so do many other groups.)

(There's a very real difference between "love bombing" and genuine affection so please don't list every time a religious person has been friendly towards you...)

Firstly these 2 men are better than any man on this planet including me.

But If you compare the 2, Job's life sounds harder, he sacrifices more, goes through more pain, loses more. So how do christians thing Jesus died only to raise himself up, because of making the biggest sacrifice when it might not be?

Blondiebaptist (when asked about religion and children):

"There's nothing wrong w/brain washing, God just takes our filthy minds and washes them, shines them up for his glory. He washed mine last year and now it sparkles for Jesus."

That just creeped me right out of my skin.

Shouldn't we all try to be more compassionate and understanding to them? When I was a Christian I used to get bashed by Atheists all the time but it just made me more close minded to what they were trying to tell me. Only when I met a really patient and understanding one did I really try to accept what they were saying. I know sometimes we can get frustrated and annoyed but isn't the objective to get them to understand, not to hate us so much they will never listen?

Please do not flame me (not a Mormon) or the Mormons in your answer. Please be able to back up your answer with a specific citation. If you're going to claim that Mormons believe a certain thing, please cite your source. If you think the Mormons are a cult, please, again, explain why you think that and cite your source. If you're going to get on your soapbox and rant at me about either Mormonism OR Christianity, please move on to the next question.

Can someone please give me the chapter and verse in the Bible that talks about the "spirit realm being more real than the physical realm"?

I've looked everywhere and can't find it.

I find little fault with the "teachings" of the bible. I do however understand that things can be lost in translation. I also understand that man has tampered with the bible over the years. (fact) Now do you expect me to believe that a loving God will punish me for using a brain of His design? I think many Christian focus so much on the reward/punishment that they forget the point. Be good to one another. I can not accept that a boy in China grows up a buddist dies and goes to a Hell. And if you insist that that is just the way it is he had a choice and all that jazz. Then How do you think, even with all the faith in the world, you serve a just God. I simple find that hard to believe. And that is just one example. With so many things pointing away from this being logical then do you really expect people to believe?
