Even though Jesus forgave us and died for us while we were yet sinners, as humans the task is not always the easiest!

No! I really don't. There are times when I have to examine the resentment that I feel, and then 'reforgive' again. But when it comes to mind, I just simply forgive them.

The last thing I want is to accumulate anger for not forgiving people. I know that my word is crap, so I must revisit the issue once in a while. There comes a time, at least so far, when I am at peace with the idea that I forgave someone. I take it to be a combination of acceptance, and distancing myself of my stupid pride.

That's one thing about all this that I think people miss; The part of anger that we hold against other people is due to the mindset that we are somehow better than them; as if we never did anything that was wrong to someone else. To me, that idea is pure pride and is to be treated as a falsehood.

I do consider myself being hurt pretty bad on a few occasions, but as I reflect upon them, I use them as an opportunity to further examine myself and what part I played in the sorrow... could I have done something better, something different? ... Did I take something or someone for granted? How do I balance this between not murmuring and bearing the burden/sharing it with others... In the future can I somehow avoid the same situation?

I try to put as much of the blame on myself, to the point where friends may even say it's not that justified.

However, we must go on, and use such trials to look at what we do have and the good things we are been blessed with and give all the more thanks as well as realize each morning may bring new afflictions, but also opportunities and blessings as well.

Does God want us to forgive the sin or the sinner? I would forgive the sinner if repentance is on their tongue but death awaits the person who wants to harm others and there is no guilt or feeling of remorse if this is the case I myself would rather feel quilt for sending a sinner to the grave before his repentance than see an innocent child or person lose their feelings of security and love....

Not really. I do have a hard time forgetting.
I can forgive but I won't make the same mistake twice, and for this reason, I choose to let some people out of my life.

Difficult and painful as it is at times, ONE MUST. Forgiveness is a virtue that one endures and accepts. It is a simple task, but not an easy one.

Otherwise, for the TRUE believer, the plea to "forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us..." is rendered meaningless.

Peace be with you.

I used to be that way, but I forgive more easily since I understand and realize that nobody is perfect! If I expect God to forgive me of my sins, then I know I need to forgive as well!

Yes, we must forgive others of their trespasses and our Father in heaven will forgive us.

"Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift." -- Matthew 5:23-24 KJV

Forgiving isn't my business. Who appointed me as judge, with this power of granting amnesties or absolving criminal proceedings?

Uh, it's not in my power to declare anyone 'guilty' and hand them to the hangman, either.
