you're right... and while we're at it. we don't know there's not santa clause either. i hate when people say so certainly that he doesn't exist. and the same goes for them disbelievers of the easter bunny and the lucky charms leprechaun. people need to realize they might exist. so stop making fun of me when i say i speak to them every night. YOU DON'T KNOW... STOP JUDGING ME!!!

Well, some gods are inherently contradictory, and as such they can't exist, it just wouldn't be possible. So I can say with certainty that they don't.
But what about unicorns? do you think there is a chance that they exist, or at least existed? Probably not. Most people don't because they understand the roots of the myth (see: Narwhals).
So knowing the roots of specific gods, like say, the christian god, helps me understand that it's an invention.

So you think I should be sure of nothing?
Actually, I am not even 100% sure I will wake up tomorrow. But I can say I am 98% sure and thereby confidently make plans.
In fact, I am not 100% sure about God. But I am 100% sure that this dark world has nothing to offer!
100% NOTHING to offer!
except hopelessness and death all through it. Yet I am 100% sure that the love and acceptance i found as a teen, I found in a little church where people cared for my welfare and care for me as a person!
BTW, your argument is agnostic. Seems to me that you ARE sure of YOURSELF in that you say WE cannot know.
I say we can know beyond a reasonable doubt. That's not saying for sure, its saying based on all that I know so far, I have made a decision to go the way of life because the world does not have what I really need. It only tries to make me temporarily happy and at some cost to my personhood most times.

You are right in a way, we shouldn't be arrogant about what we know about God. God and Spirituality is something that we can only understand by using intuition. People have different levels of intuition, that's why some can perceive better than others, but nobody is wrong and nobody is totally right. Being humble is the key, as well as being tolerant with one another.
Peace!

I do have an idea that god does not exist. Why don't examine the evidence for yourself, instead of simply spouting the indecisiveness of agnosticism.
One could also say that we have no idea if pink invisible unicorns exist or not. But common sense tells use they do not. God is a pink invisible unicorn.

I'm not totally sure of myself in a whole plethora of aspects, not the least of which are my religious views. That typed, I think the burden of proof falls more heavily on the theists than on the atheists/anti-theists/agnostics. Also, let's not forget that monotheism is largely a worship consolidation and is no more or less valid than believing in a plethora of gods.

Well I believe there is a God because of Im not sure about everything, but believing in it makes it so I am more sure about everything, cause I can ask my God to guide me and he will... I dont blame anyone who dont believe in God because I understand you cant tuch him, or see him, but I know he exists because I have the bible to fallow...and experiances in my own life, that I had to ask God for help and he helped me...and people who dont have a God to ask for help won't be sure of themselfs, and they'll have to struggle through things alone...not with someone more supperier.

I believe there is a God. I've seen Him work in my life in many ways, and I try to act in a way that I feel might please Him. However, I don't pressure my beliefs on others. For some people, I think it's just a comfort to believe that there is someone out there watching over you.

well thats your opinion GayBlackMale. If you have faith, you know for sure. I have such faith and I am sure there is a God, and I know Jesus Christ died on that cross for my sins and for your sins. I am not asking to believe in what i believe but I am asking you to respect my beliefs. please
