It is because we cannot keep the Ten Commandments that Christ came.
Here's an example: "Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of the disciples a yoke that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear? No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are." (Acts 15:10-11)
We cannot obey the Ten Commandments, because the real issue is of the heart. Jesus said that adultery was wrong, but the real issue was lust in the heart. (Cf. Matthew 5:28)
Instead, we are called to look to Jesus, and be healed. It is only through faith in Him that we can be. Just as it took the Israelites to have faith in looking to the bronze serpent for healing from the snake bites, (See Numbers 21) rather than seeking help from physicians (works), so also looking to Jesus' finished work on the cross (having faith in that) that we please Him. (Cf. John 3:14ff)

NO... now let me explain: we are in Christ and therefore we are free from the law (Rom 7:1-6, Gal 5:1-6 in fact read the whole book of Galatians)
This does not however mean that in "working out our salvation" we will not keep the 10 commandment. You see we are not commanded to keep them but as a child of God we naturally will. It is part of "new nature in Christ."
when you look at it... the "law of grace" actually holds us to a higher standard than those of the 10 commandments... where the commandments told us not to murder Christ told us not to hate... the issue has been moved from our actions to our heart condition. Where we were once told not to commit adultery we are now told not to lust...
The beauty of grace is that it does what the law was unable to do... it gives us the ability to live up to these standards. So the important thing is the heart condition which will in turn produce actions that will cause you to follow the commandments not because it is right or because you have been told to but because it is what your heart desires.

Which of the two gadgets of Ten Commandments do you mean? the 1st set or the 2nd set that is listed in Exodus 23? After Moses broke the 1st table, God despatched Moses lower back up Mt Sinai to get carry of a sparkling set of Ten Commandments. Does the 2nd set cancel out the 1st? in the 2nd set of Ten Commandments the final commandment is You shall no longer boil a infant in its mom's milk. we would desire to understand which set you asking approximately with a view to respond to your question.

Yes.
The writers of the NT tell us that they knew not sin until they understood the Law. We still follow the 10 Commandments, for the 10 Commandments are repeated in the NT and a part of the New Covenant, we indeed have to follow the 10 Commandments.

Yes, these laws are the basis of what Christ was referring to the "Greatest Commandment." Loving God and then loving our neighbor. When reading Exodus chpt. 20, just notice the first four commandments refer to God: worship no god but me; don't bow to any graven images; don't take God's name in vain; and remember the sabbath and keep it holy.
The next six refer to our neighbor or in other words, everyone: honor our parents; don't murder; don't steal; don't lie about anyone (slander); honor the marriages of others and honor yourself by not engaging premarital sex; and don't lust after anything that is your neighbors.
These law have been in effect since the beginning of time. God's commandments are still in place and will not be taken away. Remember also that Christ said that he came to fulfill the law, not destroy it.

Well Jesus did indeed come to set us free from the law in the sense that it would not decide where we spend eternity but that God Himself would. But the commandments Jesus gave, Love thy God and Love thy neighbor, is full of all the commandments. See you would not murder someone you love, nor steal from them, you'd obey your parents, you would not covet the things your neighbor or loved one has. You see Jesus was saying that all commandments are fulfilled in these commandments. So when we genuinely love someone and our God, the way the bible and Jesus instructed, we will still be within those commandments. So yes, we should still obey the Ten Commandments.

Jesus gave you more than 75 Commandments within His Gospel, the bulk of them can be found in Matthew.
The 10 commandments were given to Moses by Satan.
For Jesus told us For the law was given by Moses, but grace and TRUTH came by Jesus Christ, (John 1:17)
For Jesus told us Moses gave you not that bread from heaven, (John 6:32)
For Jesus told us All that came before me are thieves and robbers (John 10:7)
Jesus told us the Name of the beast and of the man in Revelation 13:10-18. Jesus told us it was Moses.

Yes, and then some. Jesus gave a higher law than the law of Moses. Instead of "thou shalt not commit adultery" now it is don't even think about committing adultery. However, we are all imperfect and will fall short of whats been commanded of us. That is why I am so thankful for Jesus and the atonement He provided us and the ability to repent and be forgiven.

Jesus retaught 9 of the 10 commandments and amplified upon them. They all still apply with the possible exception of the Saturday Sabbath which even Jesus broke (at least according to the Pharisees). The Levitical laws such as temple rites, animal sacrifices, circumcision were all fulfilled at the cross and no longer needed to be followed.
Grace is the CHANCE to repent, it is not given to those who merely accept Jesus as their personal savior yet in their works deny him as you quoted. Many desire cheap grace... kind of like having sex without marriage.
Even the chief teacher of grace... Paul... taught that he himself kept his body under subjection lest he himself should be a castaway. Paul did not take his salvation for granted or practice cheap grace.

firstly JESUS DID NOT SET US FREE FROM THE LAW!!!!
he came to put an end to the ceremonial law and not the moral law( 10 commandments)
we should always keep His laws
Matthew 5:17-20
17"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
1 Corinthians 9:21
To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law.
1 Kings 2:3
And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself:
Proverbs 7:2
Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
Proverbs 3:1
My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments
James 2:10
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
so we need to keep all ten commandments including the one about sabath day:
12 "Observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy, as the LORD your God has commanded you. 13 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 14 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your ox, your donkey or any of your animals, nor the alien within your gates, so that your manservant and maidservant may rest, as you do. 15 Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the LORD your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the LORD your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.
