Try reading "The Illiad", "The Oddyssey", "The Golden Bough", or any Greek mythology books. There are plenty of accounts of "real people" meeting Greek "gods". The accounts of real people talking to God or meeting Jesus (assuming he was God) all come from the Bible, or books that get their accounts from the Bible. This is hardly independent corroboration.

As for evolution, you clearly don't understand the concept. Things like bacteria that develop resistance to antibiotics, species of insects and weeds that adapt to pesticides and the ongoing adaptation of the bird flu virus clearly demonstrate evolution at work. The Bible says nothing about dinosaurs (unless one uses some very inventive interpretation), but the fossils exist. And it wasn't "dinosaurs, then humans". There were millions of years between the two types and many other species developing between. The remote, tiny (and unrecognizable) ancestors of humans existed at the time of the dinosaurs, and some species of dinosaurs adapted and survive to this day, likely as birds.

I don't intend to dispute your faith, only to show you there is plenty of room for valid disagreement. Don't get so upset. If you ask a question, prepare for serious answers.

Where is the evidence that people have seen Jesus? If there was a man called Jesus how do you know he had special powers?.There is evidence for evolution and the dinosaurs died out long before man got here.We are the products of evolution,we are not made by a God.Read some books on evolution and then come back with some questions.

There are lots of people who claim to have seen or heard god. Some of them are Muslums, some are Jews, some are Hindu, some are Native American Indians, some are Mormons and some are ???

The point is that if someone says that they saw god or heard god but have no proof or evidence then it is, at best, just an interesting statement.

There was a story about a very successful businessman who claimed that all his big decisions came from the ghost of Alexander Hamilton talking to him. Does that mean that Alexander's ghost was really talking to him or does that mean that he believed it to be so ?

"No-one has seen or claimed to see Greek gods"- Which is why two of the greatest civilisations in human history worshipped them, I'm sure. What an idiotic argument. Thousands of people have been abducted by aliens too, mate.

Actually, Greek and Roman mythology contains many accounts of direct encounters with the gods. Not only did Achilles meet Ares, for instance, but he stabbed him with spear. People claimed various gods as ancestors - something that required, in thier conceptualization of the gods, much more than merely /seeing/ them. Pythia - the priestess of the oracle at Delphi, an historical, rather than mythical position - claimed to talk to Apollo quite regularly, and the prophesies given to her by Apollo, along with testimony to thier 'accuracy,' were recorded for posterity.

I don't /believe/ in evolution. It's a well-supported theory, but I'd discard it if something better came along.

Your 1st question: Just because a guy named Jesus lived doesn't mean he was a deity. I'm sure a guy named Mohammad also lived at one point, and probably a guy named Buddha.

Your 2nd question: You don't know squat about evolutionary science (or maybe science in general?) based on your question.

Science is not in the business of "proving" stuff. Science is in the business of providing evidence. The evidence for the theory of evolution is larger than for any other scientific theory. Hell, quantum theory and gravitation theory aren't anywhere near as well-supported as the theory of evolution.

Also, evolution is observed FACT. The theory of evolution ties those facts together into a mechanism that explains the likely scenario for the evidence observed supporting evolution.

first off, many did claim to see the Greek gods. as well and the Norse, Celtic, Roman, etc....
I have met my Patron god Cernunnos. though you may call me crazy or say that i was having a halucination brought on by lack of food and sleep or some such thing. my gods are as real to me as your god is to you.

as for evolution.

please learn something about it.

we have numerous "in-Between" fossils of early humans. k

we have the Hobbit fossils, and corrosponding fossils frim africa of a precieved Giant (6 foot tall was giant in ancient times)

and the many stages of human evolution that were happening in different parts of the world at the same time.

what we do not have, is some strange cross breed of an ape/man that has the upper body of a man and the legs of an ape or some strange crap like that.

every "in-between" thing that we find, Christians label as either ape, or Man. and refuse to see that it is something between an ape and a man.

take 'EVE' for example she is a skeliton of an upright walking creature from africa. that shows opposible thumbs. and straight legs. but still has the long arms, and the feet designed for climbing trees.

There are plenty of stories within Greek mythology of gods interracting with humans. Ditto for Hinduism and their gods. In fact, there are billions of Hindus in the world today. So why can't those same arguments you're making apply to Hinduism and their deities?

Or if the concept of a rhetorical question is still over your head, then let me reword it for you: Your aguments can be equally applied to a variety of other belief systems, and thus does not support your implicit claim that your religion holds more validity than others.

As for evolution, it's obvious that you've never taken the time to actually research the subject, let alone know the difference between evolution, abiogenesis, and I suspect cosmology for that matter. I suggest you start here:

First of all, why don't you believe in Allah instead of Jesus? Don't you think that a lot of Muslims have spiritual experiences too? Or do they just flail themselves around in front of a wall and blow up in World Trade Center towers and buses just for fun?

How many books on evolution have you read?

Would you be a Christian or a creationist if you had grown up in China?

The only person I've seen claim to talk to God is President Bush.

And he said God told him to invade other countries.

And, there are literally tens of thousands of people who have, at some time, believed in Greek Gods and testified personally to it. Keep in mind, Greek philosophers were at times persecuted by other Greeks for denouncing the existence of Greek Gods.
