Then I will walk up to God at the pearly gates and say to him "I was wrong but surely you would not give me this intelligence and not expect me to use it. I made the best decision based on the knowledge I had available at the time. As I am only human by your design i am by definition fallible and I apologize. I believe overall i have been a positive force in the world and if you sentence me to eternal torment for a mistake that was due only to my family upbringing and aptitude for free and critical thought then you have proven me right for i cannot conceive of a god that would pass judgment on creatures of his own design on such a trivial matter as theology."

I don;t think this will happen but at least i have considered it

Ask yourself the same question. What if you are wrong about your religious choice? Maybe the Christians are right but it is also possible the the Muslums or Buddists or Hindus or Scientologist are right.

The only thing you can do is your best. If, at the end, there is a god and he does want to judge you then that's all you can say, isn't it ?

I find your question a bit airy fairy to be honest. What is "What if this isn't a drinking question." What is all that about? Anyway, if atheists are wrong, God will take them into His arms anyway, at the time He appoints.

If Athiests are wrong, then God will show them.

Here's the truth:

People are actually pancakes. When they die, they become waffles. If they don't believe in THE GREAT SPATULAR who saves us from the fires of the oven, they burn for all eternity. It's just that simple. Why would anybody choose not to believe that when the alternative is hell? Because atheists are non-spatular idiots.

HAIL SPATULAR

If I'm wrong I guess I'll party with millions of other people. People like you are the reason I turned away from religion. I chose not to live in fear of Hell my entire life.

Then one of the hundreds of religions out there /might/ be right. I'll be really disapointed if it turns out the ancient Egyptians were right, for instance, as I'm planning on cremation, and that would set me up for a very limmitted afterlife...

What if...thats is a pretty bad way to live one's life in my opinion. What if a satellite was gonna fall on my head? What if I walked outside and was hit by a car?

To live life based on a "what if" is to live life in fear, that is not something that sits well with me.

does it matter if atheists are wrong? why does it matter what people belive nowadays. as long as you don't kill about it, i don't see whats wrong in thinking god sent his son down, and he died on the cross, or that he has six arms?

and why are scientits so hell bent on proving (i know they have already but oh well) that god didn't create everything, and that jesus didn't exist (that one they haven't done yet) although, Genesis is possible, which is incredible.
