Why don't we decide to be humane all of the time?

If most people are sane, why can't we be humane and kind to each other all of the time? We are capable of it, so why not do it? It is said this moment determines the rest of your life, so why not treat each other with love and respect from now on?

It's a good, warm fuzzy feeling, thought. I'll give you that! However, it's simply illogical. It's like saying - always be happy, never be sad. Or - always smile, never cry. The negative in life effects just how positive the positive is to us. We need both for balance.

Easy - because most of us haven't figured out that we have to act like humans in order to be HUMANe. And since the vast majority of us go around with our heads stuffed up our asses (or at least ACT like we do), that's NOT a good way to start...

Not sure where you got the idea that most of us are SANE - very few of us HAVEN'T been brainwashed by Corporate Propaganda yet ;););)

It is as simple as this. Humans cannot make these statements a reality without the authority of God. If I think going out and killing people is ok to do who are YOU to tell me I am wrong? So what?!?! Killing people is my way of expresssing myself. I am a very angry person.....

Do you see what's happening? Nothing will ever be right because there is no faith in a superior diety and let's face it, humans really aren't all that smart. We boast of technology and carbon dating but what of peace and love? The simplest things seem to be so difficult (and perhaps the most complex). Why? Because they were created by and simple, yet infinite God.

Some people send the message that they don't want to be treated with love and respect. So I give them what they want.

Cause humans are the worst animals there is. Although they can be aware of what is right and wrong they also have the ability to make choices base on selfishness greed jealousy ignorance ect..you name we are capable of many things and are cableable of self destruction because of it.

Can't be done, we are of a sinful nature and the word tells us our hearts are evil and desperately wicked. There will be a time when we will see perfect peace on earth and that will be when Christ comes to set up His earthly reign for 1000 years as prophesied in the Bible.

Because the world dosnt work that way. Their is always going to be someone bad out there who wants to kill someone. And if the good people, try to get rid of them all by killing them, then they become exactly that which they tried to destroy. Its like ying and yang, light wont exist without dark, same with peace and war, everything just needs to be balanced

Tell me why I should treat someone with respect that will not show me the same respect. What have they done to earn my respect? I'm not going to give myself away to someone for absolutely no reason at all. If they want my love, they can earn it, like the rest of my friends.

Because of ego-clinging, perceptions, causes and conditions of some minds that cause them to see, or perceive things incorrectly. It's wise to call for altruism and compassion, and call for it often, just don't expect that it's going to pop into existence, since it's illogical to assume that everyone really CAN be that way...
