I know for a fact that many (most?) don't, but I've heard some people on this board express things to the effect that they actually do. I just want to get it on the table, so we can be intellectually honest here. Do you believe in Demons, devils or evil things (is spirits a good word? I don't know.) that effect life in the material (mortal, human etc.) world?

And please, nonbelievers, this is supposed to be a moment of clarity here, don't bring "fairys" "ghosts" or "Santa Clause" etc. into this. I'm being respectful of their beliefs, so too can you be.

I think so, it was very generous. The NonMuslim urinated in on the floor of the Masjid. What do you think of this hadith?

"A Bedouin was standing in the mosque of the Prophet, and defiled it; when he was immediately taken hold of; and Muhammad said, "Let him alone, and throw a skin of water upon the spot; because ye were not created but of comforters and not sent to create hardships." And they let him alone till he had done, and then Muhammad called the Bedouin to him, and said, "This mosque is not a proper place for that, or any kind of filth; mosques are only for the mention of God, saying prayers, and reading the Kuran."

Does anybody who knows about meditation and or has done trancendental meditation know the differences between them. As i have been doing minfullness a bit on an off really and started doing mantra as i found it easier to actually bring my mind back to something other than just 'awareness' as i probably don't have much realisation of what that really is yet lol. Anyway i was interested in T.M as it is meant to be very impressive but my mum said theres no difference between that and mantra and went on a weekend course once to do it about 15 years ago though.

Why do you need to worship God if he has everything?
What is a little spot like me gonna do for God? He is the almighty tight? So He has everything at he could ever want at the tip of his finger. He could snap his finger and have ten times as much. So why worship some who has everything. Does having everything make God better than me? How can it if God made me? Did God not put his best foot forward when creating man? and finally How can make anything less than God?

I'm going with blades.

why do you pick and choose which things from both sides you're willing to listen to?

For example, on the one hand, the Bible dates the Earth to be around 10,000 years old. But not much observable evolution could've occurred during that timespan, much less abiogenesis to our present form.

I could sit here all day pointing out the vast number of collisions between the two standpoints, but I just want to know where you get off believing bits and pieces of both?

If I tell a random child that if he prays to me and worships me and listents to me and only me that I'll get him candy but if he doesn't I'll let my son beat the daylights out of him, this is proper morality to you?

This seems to be what is being inferred with the answers to my last question: http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgmTe1lApPDhT7VDkJa6n_jAFQx.?qid=20070816065918AAXZ8pX

Ninety-nine U.S. soldiers killed themselves last year, the highest rate of suicide in the Army in 26 years, a new report says.
More than one out of four soldiers who committed suicide did so while serving in Iraq or Afghanistan, according to a report scheduled to be released Thursday. Iraq was the most common deployment location for U.S. soldiers who either attempted suicide or committed suicide.

Think about it. When a person trust their voice to God, the Holy Spirit speaks from our heart praises or intercession for others.

Don't you see that this is more than a sing to unbelievers in the early Church?

Why the rebellion towards Christianity?

Islam is threatening to take over the world by sheer terror and total destruction, but non religious people still use the argument of the Christian Crusades in the 2nd century.

Come on people, that was 1900 years ago. Islam is threatening Nuclear war on America, England & Israel.

Why is this being avoided by non-religious people?
