I think so, it was very generous. The NonMuslim urinated in on the floor of the Masjid. What do you think of this hadith?

"A Bedouin was standing in the mosque of the Prophet, and defiled it; when he was immediately taken hold of; and Muhammad said, "Let him alone, and throw a skin of water upon the spot; because ye were not created but of comforters and not sent to create hardships." And they let him alone till he had done, and then Muhammad called the Bedouin to him, and said, "This mosque is not a proper place for that, or any kind of filth; mosques are only for the mention of God, saying prayers, and reading the Kuran."

It wasn't fair. He should have been punished. Muhammad was very generous and merciful with that man. Thank you for that I was not aware it said that.

Peace to you as always

As salaamu 'alaikym warahmatullahi wabaraktu, my friend.

This one has always thought that if one truly believed in a God, such as YHWH, Trinity, Father, Jesus or Allah Subhanna wa Ta'ala, and one read the Holy Qur;'an with any open mind and heart, as well as learning about the life of the last Prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him , his family and his followers) that one, if he or she did not convert, would most surly have to bear witness to the fact that Muhammad was a true Prophet.
The life of the Prophet (peace be upon him, his family and his followers) is such a wonderful example for all as to how to treat others with love, compassion, understanding, tolerance and how to live in peace even when ones detractors seem bent on causing mischief and ill towards ones self.

The Prophet Essa (i.e., Jesus Christ, peace be upon him) did the same, as did all of the prophets (peace be upon them all) and as this is taught in the Holy Qur'an. Alhumdillallah!

The Gautama Buddha lived such a life as well.

May it be well with you.
Ma'a salaam.

Yes, of course. Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) was the greates tutor of humankind, he was generous, and loving. He never looked down upon anyone. There are so many hadith that show his love, generosity and humbleness towards others. He was generous and kind, not only to human but to all living things.

I thought Muslims did not like it when others picked out certain parts of the Quran?

It is just O.K. when they do it?

To answer your question, it was very kind of him.

There are other examples in the Quran that are not so kind.

Peace be with you!

P.S. What do you think would happen if I as a Christian walked into a Mosque in Iran and did that today?

I think it was fair if he was mentally challenged.

Nice story. To bad mosques in the Arab countries have been used as weapons storage and places for renegades to hide. We should have blown up any mosque being used improperly. We are far to nice and far to political.

Judging from the overreaction of muslims worldwide to cartoons, I have serious doubts you would be so docile about something like this.

Uh, yeah, word of mouth event that happened 1500 years ago is *extremely* relevant to today's world. Oh wait, it would be relevant if *all* Muslims practice the intent of this verse and tolerated and forgave others rather than raising and harboring terrorists.

Well then why don't muslims of today follow that example? I mean do you know how many Fatwas are put out today for simply mocking islam?
