i wonder what book you're reading??? It can't be your run of the mill regular Christian book, must be alternative somehow!

like several people said, go to cow pasture and dig among the poo, that's the best way to get them.

The forbidden fruit was the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The word knowledge is used in the same sense as carnal knowledge of another human. The eating of the fruit being direct disobedience to the Father, made Adam and Eve understand the concept of subjective truth. Hence they were ashamed when they saw themselves naked. Conversion and metanoia (the rebinding of the heart) repairs the damage and makes us begin the slow path back to understanding the world through God's eyes, and objective truth. As God alone knows all truth, He alone can judge people as he reads the heart. As for magic mushrooms, I suggest you never take Fly Agaric (the red top white speckled muchrooms of Bambi fame) as you will be as sick as a dog. The smaller almost invisible ones are very powerful. I can honestly say that having tried them a very long time ago, walking on a beach at night in Scotland, that the effect was such that it convinced me that God had indeed made all that exists, the stars, sea, sand, and Merlin the red setter dog I was with at the time. each stone and pebble crafted and placed in exact perfect cosmic order. But that was then and now I don't ever even think about taking hallucinogens - the Bible is laid out the same way the stones were. You just have to see it for yourself. I need a rib but I need a rubber inflatable boat about 25 feet long with a 250 HP outboard on it and I doubt that you have that kind of rib for sale.

Read a book called 'The sacred mushroom and the holy cross' by John Allegro

That will blow your mind

He was one of the academics that deciphered the Dead Sea scrolls.

there grow to be one Tree of know-how of high-quality and Evil. we've not any indication that there have been ever to any extent further of the comparable form. The scriptures say that it grow to be the specific fruit of The Tree of know-how. hence, i do no longer think of it grow to be between the varieties we regularly be responsive to. that is relatively basic to aim to make a metaphor out of the story and make some deep interpretation out of it. i think of it relatively is less demanding to take the story as advised at face value.

No one really knows what the forbidden fruit was. It probably wasn't a mushroom.

No one knows what the forbidden fruit actually was...it was just a tree that God said not to touch....it could have just been an apple. no magic mushrooms...

You're probably actually right about that. The manna in the desert likely also refers to magic mushrooms, as does the 'bread of life'.

Most people have no idea the relationship between altered states and early Jewish/Christian religion.

well, where do u live? its a waste of money to buy when u can go get em urself.
wait till its hot, humid, and has rained recently. go directly to a cow pasture - out of road sight. walk around looking in cow sh*t. pick them, pinch the stem, if it turns purplelish where u pinched after a few seconds - its a good one :o)
be careful though - u can get arrested for tresspassing. - or worse, shot by a famer, OR stampeded by cows (most people think theyre all friendly, theyre not)
AND another pointer - they are technically not illegal until theyre dried out, so lets u say u pick some and ur driving home, get pulled over, and theyre found - ur not carrying anything illegal cause theyre still wet.

Technically mushrooms are not a fruit, they are fungi. Even the magic variety.
